Take my nuyen!
Anyone know anything about dates for new official missions or content?

I've played Dead Mans Switch and Dragonfall and I'm already ready for new content...

No official word-- it depends on how well Dragonfall does. Unofficially, though, there are about a dozen of us working collaboratively on a large-scale mod. Southwind is opening up Shadowrun Unlimited and making templates of all of the systems he designed so that we can expand on it. It's going to be huge, awesome, and free. Cheers.

He did state "official missions or content". UGC can be pretty damn good, but that's not what he seems to be after.

Edit: Sorry. My bad. Looks like the OP was edited to say that. Carry on.

Not sure if you are a troll or completely missed the point. Did you not notice the question that OP asked before the sentance you quoted? Here it is again:

He is asking when offical content will be published in the future.

@OP: I haven't seen any thing pointing towards any definitive release of anything in the future. I think they are waiting to see how Dragonfall does before they say anything.

I hope a lot of people bought it so they can make more. I've played a lot of player content, it doesnt seem to have the depth of story like the official content does. I'm replaying through Dragonfall right now with a maxed out elf that was imported. I may even hook up my Sega and throw Shadowrun in there if I get bored.

I heard Planescape Torment was good, And the old Fallout series? Anyone played those?

Planescape: Torment, Fallout 1, and Fallout 2 are three of my five favorite games of all-time. Definitely play all of them.
TheBipolarGemini Mar 22 @ 6:03pm
Are they the same turn based style as Shadowrun? If so I will buy them...

I also heard Planscape Torment was one of the longest games as far as story and diologue?

Yeah, very similar in terms of combat mechanics. All three provide lots of choice, interesting dialogue, and are extremely rich in detail. Planescape has a ridiculous amount of text, something like 10,000 pages of text when it was finished. All three also feature great music / ambience by Mark Morgan--- he's the man.

I forgot to mention that a new Planescape title is being developed right now as well, so it's a good time to get familiar with the game. Might check out Wasteland 2 as well--- I'm really looking forward to it myself. Incidentally, all four games mentioned are the brainchild of Brian Fargo, who is a legend amongst CRPG players.

10,000 pages of story? Sounds like my kind of game. Can you make choices in diologue and does it effect gameplay?

I bought Baldurs Gate Enhanced Edition awhile back, old school turn based but it was cool. I wish they would put the Playstation versions of the Baldurs Gate on Steam. A Bards Tale would be awesome too as it was a parody game of Baldurs Gate styled games.

It's already out there on Steam. I actually got it from backing one of the other games listed above on Kickstarter. They sent it out in a message as a bonus to all backers to celebrate its Steam release. I can't remember which of the Fargo games I backed that they sent it out from though and I'm too lazy to dig through all my Kickstarter messages right now.

Oh ♥♥♥♥ I was just reading about Bard's Tale in Fargo's interview in "Honoring the Code" the other day. Didn't know the game was on Steam-- I'll have to check that one out, it sounds pretty cool.

Dude, yeah. That's the best part of the game, in my opinion. Here's a good summary lifted straight from lparchive.org:

Enter Planescape: Torment. Long considered to be one of the most bizarre and fascinating of campaign worlds in D&D, Planescape was also one which was enormously difficult to play through by virtue of its immensely complex world, its myriad of supplements, species, classes, and Factions. Very few DMs would touch that with a ten-foot pole, but plenty longingly flipped through the pages of the campaign manuals for ideas, or simply to admire Tony Diterlizzi's iconic art.

Planescape has some very nice mods for updating the visuals and a large community made mod that fixes many things (typos, bugs, ect) and even finishes and intergrates some extra quests the devs had locked away. I found this rather useful

I highly recommend playing with this config. Especially if your a fan and want to give it another go. Brings an old game new life!

Also the new one is called Torment:Tides of Numeria. Im really looking forward to it.
