Release 1.2.5 contains a variety of Dragonfall and Dead Man's Switch campaign fixes and general system improvements. If you are encountering any campaign issues in Dragonfall, please update to build 1.2.5 immediately. (To update, restart Steam and then allow Shadowrun Returns to fully verify and download the new build.)

If you are experiencing a campaign-related issue, you may also need to restart your current scene (select "Restart Level" from the PDA) or rewind (select "Rewind" from the PDA save screen, then select a previous level) to before you encountered the issue in order to resolve the issue.

  • Fixed a potential blocker in the first scene of the Universal Brotherhood. (Use of the Quicksave feature could cause your runners to not properly join your team after letting them in the side door.)

Release 1.2.2 contains a variety of Dragonfall campaign fixes for certain edge-case progression issues in the game.

  • OSX: Removed the display of "development build" text at the top of the screen on OSX.
  • Linux: Fix to a Linux folder name capitalization issue that could cause content packs to fail to load on some machines.
  • Fixed a condition where it was possible to receive incorrect responses to letting Volker Stahl live in the "False Flag" mission.

This didn't fix the character swap bug for me. I tried restarting level, verifiying game cache.. still stuck as coyote after a mission.

Have you confirmed you're on 1.2.5 now in the PDA? And do you have a save for the previous level, is your character correct there?

Hey, I just reloaded my saves and I can't control any of my characters, except the player character. I have always been able to control my team, did something change?

My team is now AI controlled. It never was before.

EDIT: Tried playing like this but the game is really unplayable. The AI moves my chracters in circles. Someone else is having the same problem:

Is it just me or are 1.2.4 and 1.2.5 the same? At least their notes seem to be O__o

Also, there's a bug where using Drone Repair Kits out of combat disposes of the kit, but the drone is not repaired (at least in DF campaign). Medkits work fine (for me at least), even the ones that don't specifically state that they're for out-of-combat use.

Though speaking of which, this might be a bug as well - medkits that say they repair ooc are cheaper than those that do not specifically say they are, last I checked (think it was still on 1.2.2 last time I played). I'm not sure whether the ones that do not say that can be used ooc as well, but that would be nice. May be a bug but could also just be an oversight.

1.2.5 has fixed the avatar issue for me.

However, I was unable to hire Shannon for the Mercy Mental missions, nor able to hire runners aside from dodger for Telestrian. Nor was I able to hire Coyote for any mission other than the missions where she is a required character.

Additional bug found.

It sees on DMS my decker is unable to use ESPs in any matrix sections, however Johnny Clean is able to use them.

Just fired up Dragonfall to test it and have the same issue it seems.

I thought this was because I was using an old save. Ran a fresh game with a new runner, rather than importing and came upon the same issues; No Shannon / Coyote / ESPs.

Is it possible this could be some kind of conflict with the import UGC conflicting with the new fixes? Even if the character is not an import. My Dead Mans Switch and Dragonfall both feature the (custom) tag due to having the import UGCs installed.

I'm going to unsubscribe, reinstall and go through a vanilla and see what result this throws up.

Yep, removing the import UGC did the trick.

Well, I started a new game. And Shannon was available for Mercy Mental. Coyote wasn't, but I'm getting the impression from the patch notes that she isn't supposed to be.

So, at this point I'm operating under the assumption that the patch fix doesn't apply to old saves. At least the fixes involving runner being available for hire.

EDIT: I see Anarky, above, had the same problem. I also removed the import UGC from DMS before starting this playthrough, so I suppose that could have had something to do with it.

Karma related BUG's! (Spoileriffic)
The three I've found in order are:

In OTK industries where you need to smash the computers, the first scientist guy is supposed to give you karma if you let him go peacefully, but currently only killing him with sneakiness, or choking him with close combat give 1 karma. Bluffing your way past him shows the karma prompt on upper left side of the screen but not above your character and you dont receive karma for it.

Second is in the Aztec tower where you can release the 3 clones. If you jack into matrix and release them you get the sound of receiving karma, see the prompt on the upper left corner of screen but your maincharacter doesnt get any form of karma (it says its giving you 3) for the whole ordeal. I assume the scripts are somehow giving the karma to the decker instead of main character. Kinda sucks, since 3 karma woulda been nice.

In the harfield manor when you go there a second time, in the basement are those drones you can use to blow up that wall. Even if you blow it up the prompt appears on upper left corner of screen than you received 2 karma, but you dont actually get any karma once more.

So all in all, the max karma you can have is atm -6 due to the bugs! Now, where do I supply this information so it reaches the devs?

EDIT: or only -5 if you kill a father who is trying to make it home in time for his daughters birthday. My god, the moral dilemmas I had in wether to let him go and not get karma due to bugs or just slayage for that sweet one point of k-power...

Possible and very minor bug encountered in Dragonfall during the MKVI mission - pressing shortcut keys when typing in terminal query search boxes, such as 'C', brings up the relevant screen, even when you're trying to type a query word that uses that letter.

I also noticed that when entering combat after healing Lucky Strike's health with a medkit, the health bar was still displaying her old health prior to healing her, but only in the overhead health display. Her actual health when looked at elsewhere, was as it should be.

i already created a thread in which i posted this bug so im sorry for repeating myself but this bug has made the expansion totally unplayable for me, i have been playing this game perfectly fine until the last patch went live then when i came back to kreuzbasar after finishing the first mission (the hotel one) the city had completely glitched, i tried creating a new character but after the tutorial mission again the city completely glitched. Is there any solution to it?. Thanks

I found two Dragonfall bugs.

When you're talking to Blitz, during the "last" part of his storyline where he finds the message from Emelie, if you tell him to go after her, you get a message in your inbox saying the opposite (Thank you for telling him to not go after me). If you tell him not to go after her, then you still get a message in your inbox, but you're unable to read it (will say 1 new message in Inbox, but no option to read it).

Also, Dragonslayer aura damage modifier isn't working properly on damage over time spells. One of my shadowrunners got hit by venom bolt (-2 hp per round) and while standing in Dietrich's aura, took -5 hp from the damage over time effect at the beginning of the next round, rather than -2. =(

Try using the rewind feature to the point before the city glitches? Could you explain more about how it's glitching? And have you filed a bug report?

Found an issue with Karma not being awarded for freeing the clones in the "Bloodlines" mission - the popup for 3 Karma shows, but the points are not awarded (no gold halo effect) much the same was as the single point in the OTK mission for letting Klaus go home.

Granted, it's 4 points, but I thought it bears reporting anyway. Thanks for making Dragonfall absolutely amazing.

Yeah i actually tried the rewind feature and didnt do a thing forme, about the bug i was refering to the fact that the city looks completely glitched, with that i mean that all the scenary looks broken, all the assets are puted randomly interfering with each other only the npcs looks okay the rest looks completely broken, and about the bug report i didnt know you could fill one thanks for the tip i would fill a report inmediately. Again thanks for taking the time to answer english is not my language so i wass feeling a little lost to what to do
