Possible bug on Bloodlines mission, for optional objective?

I am on the bloodlines mission and I have done the stealth way, so the powers cut, I have the uniforms, and I have whispered in the execs ear. However I have one objective left in the area which is to get some Scottenrotteir (forgive spelling cant remember the exact name).

I have been in to every single room and have spoken to both patrolling guards and have had blitz open up everything in the matrix. There is a single machine in a room in the bottom left where it has a use button on it, but if I try to use it nothing happens. I think I clicked on it earlier and it gave me some info on an email where someone was wanting to get home and drink some wine, then the shaman chap commented on it and that was it. There is also what appears to be a blocked off room with a desk in between the execs room and the room where you can first deck in which seems to have no entrance or exit...

So am I missing something here or is there a bug or was I meant to do the mission another way to achieve this data objective?

I've gone the alarm route. An searched for the right terminal for about 45 minutes - in fight based round mode, which was infuriating, just to have the mission bug out on me at the exit marker.

The side mission though was solvable for me.

In the very room with the three prisoners there is a well hidden terminal (on the right side from where you are entering) your dacker can jack into. Inthe matrix choose to go through the middle gate and then left to get to the node where the information is stored.

Will go check, I ran round for ages even pressing alt to light up all areas of interest, couldnt see anything.

I think there are two ways.
There's a terminal in the ground floor, where you can grab the information if your decking skill is high enough (I don't know where exactly it was, but it was near the terminal where you can read the e-mail).
You also have the possibility to extract the data directly in the Matrix, if you hack the terminal in the basement, where you can open the big door leading to the generator.

Got a problem there as well but it seems to be by design. Hacking the terminal just brings up a text saying that there are just some logs and other useless info. In the matrix I am able to "conquer" the server (it turns green) but it doesn't happen anything...

You are looking at the wrong terminal. The correct one is on the opposite side of the center test thing. It will not show up when you press 'alt'.
It is on the right side of the center construction, right next (south) of the table with the black body bag. You will just see a blue symbol and your decker is able to log into it once he is standing besides it.

Thanks! Good to know. I made it through the game without hacking into that but temrinal but it's a petty that I missed it. Next time... :)
