Just Bought the Game and it Crashes -_-

I bought the Grand: Ages Rome Gold which comes with the Augustus expansion to. Every time I play after about 5 to 10 minutes it crashes and the Windows not responding window pops up and thats it. I'm starting to get really Pissed.

I am unable to even open the game for the first time - fatal crash each time. I am deleting the re-installing and seeing if that helps. Otherwise - i will try and play online sometime.

Good News! I restarted Steam and it began to update the game and now I have no crash! :D

This is for the complete Rome Gold version which has 4X Epic Retail-Time Strategy that includes the complete, fully updated 'GRAND AGES ROME' and the 'REIGN OF AUGUSTUS' Expansion Pack....The reason I mention this on this thread- is that the dvd version lists windows 7 compatible- while the steam version does not.

If you have technical issues with Grand Ages: Rome please write an e-mail to the Kalypso Media Support " [e-mail] ". Please include a DxDiag and a description of your problem within the mail.


To create the DxDiag.txt, please do the following:

Click "Start" button and choose "Run". Or alternatively, press (Windows-Button)+R.
Then type "dxdiag" (without quotation marks) and click Ok.
You will find all relevant information in the following window.
Click the "Save all Information" button, located at the bottom of the program window.
Save the file as "dxdiag.txt".
Attach the file "dxdiag.txt" with your E-mail reply.
