Question about some achievements
Down to only 7 left in this game but I am reeeally questioning the times on at least a few of them. Ramped Up seems outright impossible to beat in under 60 (see: leaderboards, record is 80 seconds) and Gestalt Effect seems incredibly unreasonable at best, impossible at worse, to beat in under 90. The other two time achievements I have left I am pretty sure are more reasonable, though Side FX as a level completely breaks my brain and I have no clue how to do it.

Beyond that there are two cryptic achievements, neither of which I can figure out how to do (I've jumped in every pool I can find in Bring A Towel to no success, and the other cryptic one is just... I'm not even sure at all.) At least some hint would be appreciated, doubt I'll be getting them otherwise.

Also, have the only reasonable way to do Reverb Nation:

Yeah, I wasn't even going to attempt that one normally...

On the subject of showing stuff in this game, have a good shortcut for Roundabout: www.youtube.com/watch?v=b-d1u5FvB7I

Just scored a sub-1:30 on Ramped Up which was already difficult enough to do... I doubt I could get that time much lower. Still no achievement, so I can only assume the text is "right", just that... I have no clue how you'd ever get that time. There are no relevant shortcuts I can find, the only way I could see anyone doing this is if there was a way to jump over the structure holding the green key, and even then that wouldn't cut out an entire 30 seconds I'd think... this one just doesn't seem possible.

Posting again because I can. I am very certain the Converting Vegetarians achievement has something to do with the Cities of the Future stage (Infected Mushroom appears to have been formed in 1996, and makes the most sense regardless) but I have absolutely no clue what I'm intended to do. I tried and succeeded a no-death run of the stage but that didn't get me anything, so I just don't know at all x.x

Converting Vegetarians can be achieved in track 2. If you want to know exactly how to do it, read below, or if you want some vague hints...Minding the gap refers to one of the acid pits. You'll need to find a powerup to get the achievement.

*SPOILER*
Grab the hidden double jump powerup: Climb up the walls shortly after the electrical field trap. Then run all the way back to the beginning and double jump across the acid pit to the left. Climb that wall and you'll find an Infected Mushroom reference. Get near the brain and you'll get the achievement. You'll have to be quick because the powerup runs out fast!
*END SPOILER*

Thanks. Simple to get when you know what to do, heh. Would've never found that myself though.

Bump, can anyone help me with these other ones? Would really like to hear from the devs on at least the two speedrunning ones x.x
Haven't even touched this game since the last post here, can't be bothered to try if I'm completely clueless.

Bump~ Just got the game and not seeing any solutions for the Ramped Up achievement. I feel your pain xD

I've found someone else who has the same 52 achievements I do, which makes me believe that the last two are not really possible... the Take A Dip achievement I'd think exists somewhere but I can't find it in the level :T
The only people I've seen with the Ramped Up achievement are the devs themselves, so.

Soooo I guess we're not going to get dev responses to this ever? ._.;
If not, I'm going to report these two as broken so.

Korynn, does reporting the achievements as broken do anything? I'm not familiar with that. The only experience I have is Torchlight II, there are 4 broken achievements--the developers even acknowledged that. Steam has been told by hundreds of people over the past year or so. All 4 broken achievements are still there. I'm just wondering if we are going about it the wrong way or something?

Not to get them fixed but so people know they're broken and can't be achieved. Saves OCD people the stress or something? *shrugs*
jamsoda Nov 17, 2013 @ 1:33am
Its not the say they cant be fixxed either. Something as simple as speed run achievements can be altered with little problems I assume. The developer just has left the game alone is the case. My thoughts are that the achievements will never be fixed.
