Would love to beat this game, need some tips..
It's quite difficult! I've only gotten to level 5 or so. Ammo is scarce so I try to melee as much as possible, I usually always die to those guys who have guns around the 4th/5th level, they do me in quick in a few hits before I even realize they are there.

A few things that got me by:

Make good note of your surroundings and always have somewhere in mind to retreat to. Move forward carefully and listen for enemy sounds - if you hear anything when entering an area, you can almost always guarantee that something's heading your way.

When knifing always, always backpedal.

Mobs that shoot can be heard. Listen out for footsteps when near doors and hide round the corner with a shotgun. Staying out of line of sight as much as possible is essential.

Man, I didn't know about the footsteps. I've never gotten past the first gun enemy level, maybe that will save me from now on. I noticed the gunners target the zombies and mutants too, I'd like to take advantage of that.

Building the EMT detector would help you locate enemies that you can't see. This helps out a lot to sneak up on a lot of enemies like the guards

This game is very challenging and good fun, but it would be better with better AI... at the moment the AI seems to be basically CHARGE (and turn side to side a bit). Imagine if the enemies bided their time, hid behind structures, pounced, etc... even a bit of game theory... Although I haven't seen the later levels, maybe they have better AI for those levels. The STORY talks about sophisitcated AI anyhow!
