hardest game youve ever played?

I am finding this game very challenging (I cannot beat level 3) and I was wondering what is the hardest game youve ever played?

Hardest roguelike ever. Died 4 times at lvl 4 already. Punishing me with having to fight through same old levels again and again. It'd have been nice if the game had "Die less" mode.

The hardest games I have played are usually the really old school roguelikes like ADOM, IVAN, Unreal World and Cataclysm DDA. Those are really challenging.

Not the hardest, now that I understand the mechanics and most of the enemies, but still pretty tough. Have gotten through all but the last level on my current run (hoping I don't get slaughtered on the finale, level 9 really drained me of ammo).

Out of the few roguelike-ish games I've played recently, though, probably Risk of Rain? That game has been brutal to me as far as loot is concerned haha.

I always find myself running out of ammo, also in trying to be efficient with bombs I get cornered against 15-20 enemies. I got to level 4 but the guards are very difficult I think.

I find risk of rain much harder than this. For example you stop moving for a sec later on you die. http://www.coolmath-games.com/0-worlds-hardest-game/ I think that is the hardest game i have played to date. Never even finished it. I think Godhand is difficult if you do the hardest mode (I would love to play this if i had the chance but I don't own it).
