Final boss still harmful after death?
Disclaimer: I've never killed it before and it was my second time fighting it.
So, as the story goes: I arrive at the core, circle around it for a while like an idiot, drop the two RDX I had next to it, blast it's shell and the core itself with around 10 cannon rounds, and finally hear the shutdown sound. Lasers turn off, turrets turn off, so I assumed it was dead. I decided to see if there's anything interesting inside, so i walked in and dropped dead. No sound, no visual effect, no anything. What the hell?
As you would imagine I'm extremely demotivated right now to ever touch this game again.

Huh, I've never had that happen to me. That sucks man, I don't know how it killed you.

The walls are super-elecrified, one touch slaps half your health away. Try again, finishing is really worth it! And craft a railgun this time (but dont use it on the final boss)!

Well I suspected that, since I did touch a wall before dying. Looks like a bug to me, lights are out but the walls are still electrified?
I did make a railgun during the first good run, cool visuals but such a waste of batteries. This run I learned that magshield is orders of magnitude better application of the magnet.

It almost happened to me, too. I was lucky enough to survive though.

You have not experienced liquefying 15 zombies with one shot. And i think it is more energy effecient than the lasergun if you hit two enemies without overkill.

But yeah, magshield is better.

The biggest question I have on this railgun is...how well does it ream squids? When I got the magnet, I never hesitated to make a magshield.

Not very well; it takes two shots and change if I remember right. I found a lasergun more effective and faster.

Lasergunmod is probably the best weapon in the game. Its only drawback is my aiming...

By DPS - absolutely, but its nicely balanced by the precision required, trigger control and scarce ammo. You can kill a squid with lasgunmod with 22-28 batteries, while two shots of railgun already cost 30 batteries.

Ah, thank you for that, I was wandering about the ammo conusmption per target. I did see that with my low accuracy under pressure railgun is a no no...

Have you tested the batteries per squid with a Tesla Coil? That one helps with the accuracy, though one needs to get uncomfortably close to the target.

Buuuut if you have more than one squid in front of you it becomes more energy efficient!

...I just love the railgun, it looks awesome too. Too bad the magshield is still better...
