Patch 9.1 up for testing.
This update is mostly for the people who had the game crashing at startup. It's a bit rushed, so I wasn't comfortable pushing it live for everyone yet. If the game works for you, ignore this post.

How to enable
1)right click on Teleglitch in your game library
2)select Properties
3)go to BETAS tab
4)select "test91" from the drop-down menu
5)after the game has finished downloading, verify game cache.

If the game still doesn't work
1)verify game cache once again for good measure.
2)check if you've the latest video drivers installed.
3)if these two things don't help, post the stderr.txt file in this thread and I'll try to fix it.


Changelog

-Hopefully fixed the crash on startup with older Intel video cards.
Shadows are disabled now when unsupported.
-Fixed the bug where doors overlapped with caveins
-AGL now does proper damage to red guards and scientists
-Player can no longer move while teleporting.
-Fixed the problem with black shadows disappearing
-increased damage and blast radius of RDX500

Still not quite fixed on my system, but I'm willing to wait for a more tested patch.

It seems to be failing to load graphics, as far as I've seen, which is reasonable as you've told us that the issue is with older graphics cards.

I also would like what "headcrabgordan" has suggested.

To possibly have version 8.8 of the game listed under the "beta" tab that we way we can play while we wait for a possible fix! :D

update after wrestling steam (ie having to force quit it then beat it repeatedly until it restarted !) it now seems Teleglitch is working with patch 9.1 - i'll revert back to 9.0 and give input.

Odd that only Teleglitch was giving problems - i tried 3 other games in my library and all played fine.

Hope you find a fix for everyone else relatively pain free.

Patch 9.1 works for me!

Edit: When I read "The Last Critter Project" terminal in level 2 the game doesn't let me exit/speed up/ quit the text. I can click "esc" and top interface pops up, but yea, can't continue. Just a heads up!
