King of the shooting range!

I needed some consolation to ease the pain of never managing to get the 'Straight to the core' cheevo -- so I went back to the tutorial to see if I could get a perfect score on the shooting range section. And indeed after a few attempts and some fine tuning of my approach: 'TOTAL TARGETS HIT: 25/25. Combat efficiency adequate.'

Anyone else tried that? I found timing of reloads to take some finesse.

I'll elaborate a little on what I did to take care of having time to shoot the targets in spite of also having to reload: I tried to make sure that at all times I at least had a) one of my weapons quite high on ammo and b) the other was in the process of reloading. That way I could, between taking shots, quickly switch to the weapon that was reloading so that it would progress a bit, while knowing that the other weapon stayed loaded for whenever a target came up. Take enough time like that for reloading between shots, and the other weapon will get reloaded before the other runs out.

This juggling is a little tricky to actually pull off, though, managing to switch back quickly enough so you have time to fire more than once in case you miss, and without accidentally trying to fire with the not-yet-reloaded weapon etc., which is why it took me quite a few attempts.

I did that with dual miniguns in Arena mode actually. Empty one gun, then fire with the other when you have to and switch back to the reloading one whenever you can. Still, that shooting range is really unforgiving...

i keep getting 24/25 do you get something for getting all 25?
im lost at how to do this, took forever to get 24 doing the swap technique .. any help here?

No, there was nothing special for getting 25/25 as far I could tell.

As far as I remember, when it was the machine gun's turn to be used, I used a fairly short burst, and then another short burst if none of the shots on the first ones hit. The goal, of course, was to not run out of bullets in a clip before the shotgun got reloaded.
