Please fix mouse capture in full screen
I have two monitors. When Teleglitch is in full screen it takes over one, the other still shows the desktop.

However, the mouse pointer is not constrained to the game window. It has happened more times than I can count that in a tense situation I'll move the mouse outside the window by accident then click to shoot. This causes the computer to switch to the desktop and in the time it takes for me to switch back the thing I was shooting at has already killed me.

It should be very easy to fix and is extremely frustrating when it happens, please look at this issue.

And/or autopause the game when it gets backgrounded.

Not sure what will be done patch wise, if you are going to have a long game session you may want to consider turning that monitor off in display properties. I do get that it is not ideal and it should work the way you suggest, but this is one possible work around for you in the meantime.
