Needo - GOG.com seriously.

But does it allow us to switch to old graphics? - that is the question.

Do note that the version sold by GOG is the PC port. As such it features several changes to gameplay that make parts of the game impossible.

If you wish to play the truly original Amiga version and don't have access to an Amiga and original Superfrog disk, you should look at purchasing Amiga Forever. IIRC Team 17 made their old Amiga games available for use via this licensed emulator.

Got nostalgic and excited - Then I saw the price.

Today's prices for yesterday's games. Shocker.

9 EUR doesn't seem all that bad? It's pretty cheap for a remake with new levels if you ask me.

Out of curiosity, what did the original cost 1993? Personally I don't remember.

Probably about £15 at the time in the UK, maybe £20 at a push.

This game would be better suited to Steam's 'Under £4' section - I'd buy it then.

So in other words, it would cost roughly £27-35 today, and the current price on steam is roughly worth as much as £5 back then. (if assuming a price of £9.. dunno, I only got it in euros).

The original was so damn hard, like most games back then, took the fun out of it, hope this one is easier.

Does the original levels have the original music ?: P kinda missing that music.

Overall im really enjoying good old Super frog :D really brings back memories. controls is just as i remember them.

Althought could you glide back in the old game by holding a button ? thought you had to tap it repeatedly. makes it a tad less spammy to glide :)

Inflation says otherwise.

£7 doesn't seem worth a retexture and some extra levels which is why I believe a price point of sub-£4 would be ideal.

A price point for under 5euro would also grant more sales, more publicity and more people buying overal basically, but tsk tsk tsk they never learn. But it'd prob go to 5 and lower on certain big sales.

This was somewhat based on inflation, but whatever.
