Camera is too shaky and control is unresponsive.
The point of view should center the frog, not moving around to the right and left following the frog's movement.

Also I dislike that the control is a bit unresponsive especially to standing up after crouching, and maneuvering in the air.

I'm using good gamepad (both tested by Rumblepad 2 and F310) so don't blame it on my gamepad.

Yup, you're right. Camera is horrendous when compared to original from Amiga. This renders game almost unplayable for me.. Shame..

Can't say I noticed that. The only problem I've had with it, is that the game is kinda twitchy - the slightest little movement can have dire consequences. xD Oh, and jumping on an enemy sometimes gets you hurt, which is annoying.

There are enemies (like this little, blue bouncing balls) that you can jump on ;)

If you're not afraid of digging into files, open up the Assets.zip file and extract Settings.xml from it.

**** I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOU MESS YOUR GAME FILES UP no warranty for success yada yada - don't come crying to me if you bugger this up and the game crashes ****

Then find and modify THIS LINE

<CameraHeroDecoupled value="1"/> <!-- Decouple hero from the camera, 1 = yes, 0 = no meaning the hero is locked to the centre of screen -->

Change the value to 0 and save the file, and copy it back into the ZIP file. Your camera will be centred and it behaves a lot like the Amiga version.

It works like a charm :). You found it yourself? If you did, than you should post it on some game tweaking sites ;). Now this game is finally playable.

Yeah, i've been tinkering.
There's quite a lot of stuff to tweak, and comments all over the place. It's not been hard to tweak .
I think it's possible to replace the main player sprite with what I'm assuming are older sprites from an earlier stage in development, but my attempts caused the game to crash after a few seconds of the background demo running.

I never get motion sickness from games, this is the first time ever.

Then my tweak above is exactly what you need. it helps a lot if you're getting motion sickness from the game.

Tweak helps! Thanks

I'm going to try the tweak, something feels not quite right when I'm playing and I think this might solve it. Thanks!

Yip, camera is vomit inducing. What a ♥♥♥♥-poor 'port' of a really good game. Shame.

It's a good remake, suffering from one daft camera bug - Try the tweaks before you give up on it completely!
