To everyone complaining about update complaints...
At this point you excuse makers are the ones trolling. It seems apparent that the developer has no intention of actually finishing this game, he's just stringing everyone along for donations with promises of a game he can't deliver. It's been almost two months since the last update, and that was a bug fix patch. The update prior to that was implementing a feature which had already been implemented, namely crafting.

I don't think you realize this is an alpha phase of the game. The developer should be implementing a new feature each update and having us test it, not different versions of existing features. The next proposed update, the appearance editor, isn't really crucial and could be tested later toward the end of the alpha phase. There are many proposed game elements he has yet to implement, and has made no mention of when he intends to implement and test them. Buying property, stealing, setting up your own shop, making use of the reputation system other than who attacks you and who doesn't, etc., etc., these are all elements which aren't present and which should be tested before cosmetic effects and new versions of already implemented features.

The people complaining are doing so because we feel ripped off, and justifiably so.

Personally, I feel like the dev is either really unlucky at finding help, doesn't know what he is doing, and/or is pulling something shady. I know this game is an alpha, but the number of incompleted basics, not to mention glitches makes me wonder. There are spots where you can't open doors you should be able to, i.e. to stores. There are miss marked store locations. You can't use the bed on the far left of whatever the bulding is that you sleep in...These are basic fixes that should have been fixed within a few days of the patch they were released in, even if it is only one person.

To people complaining about complaining... Ffs, you only paid 15 bucks for this game, and if you couldn't find $15 worth of entertainment out of this game, in its present condition, then it is quite unlikely that you would enjoy the game when it's completed.

So, for the rest of us, please shut up.
first learn what a troll is first. the ones you think are trolling are not. but you and several others fit the bill to a T. and thanks to Wikipidia. how do you define a troll.

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This article is about internet slang. For other uses, see Troll (disambiguation).

In Internet slang, a troll (/ˈtroʊl/, /ˈtrɒl/) is a person who sows discord on the Internet by trying to start arguments and upset people.[1]. They may do this by posting deliberately inflammatory,[2] extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as a forum, chat room, or blog, with the intent of provoking readers into an emotional response[3] or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion.[4]
While this sense of the word troll and its associated verb trolling are associated with Internet discourse, media attention in recent years has made such labels subjective, with trolling also used to describe intentionally provocative actions and harassment outside of an online context. For example, mass media has used troll to describe "a person who defaces Internet tribute sites with the aim of causing grief to families."[5][6]

It would be nice if the dev atleast tried to talk to us and tell us what is going, but this is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ if the update doesn't come out soon I am going to uninstall the game and stop playing it and maybe try to get a refund. there aren't even features in the game that are shown in the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ store page, this is ridiculous

If you had look for the foruns for something you could had known that the walls had been removed to a high number of bugs, however by susing the constructing tool (xontrol shift F12) you can place them, tho glitched, the AI is gona take a revamp due to this and some othe pathfinding issues (an i think was something else).

I AGREE HES DONE NOTHING FOR MONTHS 5 OR SO IF HE HAD A STUDENT HELPING HE COULD NOT MAKE IT WORSE
Hbrown 22 czerwca 2013 o 15:23
He done nothing for months? So you been in England stalking him all this time looking at the what he was doing to know he rather done anything or not? Seems legit.

And i repeat what i said before, he can t take the time to teach someone and work in the game meantime, and he cna t take just anyne, if you had read the news he usually write you would know this and much more, liek i said before, reading helps unlike other thing.

Games like Minecraft take months to update and 4J doesn't tell you everytime something is in development. A successful game, takes time and new features are more diffcult to implement than remodeling old ones. When you have "fans" such as you hounding for something new, its easier to push out this and waist time than focusing on other cruical developments. That being said, the one feature I'd wish that would be added is sound. I can only have epic youtube music playing in the background so many times as I watch my outpost be slaughtered again and again by those starving a-holes.

We should make a commercial for the Kenshi forums and it goes something like this:

A guy gets up his chair, a braided neckbeard swishes about and he stares up at the print of Chris_The_Great's avatar and yells, "It's my updates and I NEED THEM NOW!!" the camera moves away, showing a lynch mob of other enranged forum-goers.
Hbrown 23 czerwca 2013 o 2:31
They didn t said when the sound was coming but shouldn t be much long, should be coming through next updates.
Ryu Unknown 23 czerwca 2013 o 5:34
lol, da chaos was banned...i was gonna say it has not been 5 months...its been almost two months, and i like what SirKorgoth said...anyone expecting instant updates knows nothing about designing a game, and BadIdeas..no...those kinds of bugs dont get fized that quickly even with a team of 40 people..it takes them up to a week because they need a certain number of reports and need to be able to recreate the glitch in order to fix it...its not that easy, so just wait for the game..

Have any of the people screaming for updates actually been on the lo-fi forums? Chris himself explained several times what goes on behind the scenes and what is happening at his studio. A lot of players have been wanting the character models to be completed for some time, myself included, and Chris just recently got his models from the designer. On top of that, he just purchased a Wwise license for sound and hired an audio designer. And the updates take so long because he tests them himself before releasing them to be sure there are no 0-day gamebreakers (ask your local AAA developer if they go through that trouble... EA) and he has to release each update through lo-fi, Desura, Steam, and GamersGate as close together as possible. If you don't like what's in the next update, wait for the following one. If you are so impatient that you want the next update NOW!!!!!1111 then GTFO Kenshi and play the latest Call of Duty or some other yearly franchise.

If you think this game is slow, then you very obviously don't need to be part of this community. Check out Dwarf Fortress or Unreal World, games that have been around for years and still are in beta! In the case of UW, its been in development for over 20 years and still isn't even close to complete!
