Game crashes my pc on load. Power Surge?

Installed this game on my new pc to start playing it again. But every time i load the game, without fail my MB throws a fit about stopping a power surge (with ASUS power surge protection). As a test i turned the surge protection off from the BIOS and when i ran the game my GPU was making all kinds of horrible noises, sounded like scratching or something, high pitch. Only made this noise when i was tabbed into the game.

Graphics Card: AMD Radeon HD 7900 Series

More than enough to run this game.
Any idea why it breaks and what on earth this game could be doing to my pc?

The game doesn't support vsync and doesn't have a framerate cap, which results in hundreds or thousands of frames/sec (depending on your gfxcard's specs) and stressed your gfxcard. Try to limit the framerate and activate a framerate cap (e.g. 60 frames/sec) with "Radeon Pro" (free tweaking software for AMD gfxcards). Get it here: http://www.radeonpro.info/

For Nvidia cards users, use Nvidia Inspector, a similar tweaking software but for Nvidia gfxcards.

Yeah my card started squealing when i loaded this game up, never seen that before. Luckily I just got it part of a bundle otherwise I might actually care.

cmtang77's response for capping the framerate worked.
If you bring it down to like 30fps there is no problems, just need to remember to load another program before you launch it every time haha.
