Zombie bite question...
So I've played through the game 2 times and each time a member gets bitten by a zombie I shoot them relatively early after the bite. In my 3rd playthrough I've kept a bitten party member alive and I was wondering if there's some kind of time limit until they become a zombie?

I've noticed he got a infection called "T-Virus" once before and I thought that'd be the end of him, but he ended up overcoming it, even though he was still technically "infected."

Is it possible to simply ignore the infection and feed/ medicate him without worrying about him dying randomly or do they simly die after a certain amount of time?

they shouldn't turn into a zombie unless they become incompactiacted

True. So far even when one infected party member gets incapacitated because of sudden damage to his health (e.g. bump on road, broken bones, etc), if you are fast enough and stop your vagon right away to give him a medikit and then perhaps rest a bit, it should be okay.

Zombie virus is represented by that green symbol next to name of each member and is not curable. You can still make it to Safe Haven however for moderate amount of points.
Any other illness is shown as dark red-colored health bar. Those are curable.

Ok, thanks (though I think it takes away the dread of zombie bites when you can simply ignore them as long as you keep them healthy).

I know this, it's just that I was wondering if the zombie infection randomly kills party memebers after a certain amount of time, since I think it's not very realistic or dramatic that you can basically postpne 4 bitten members from being turned spam-feeding them up and using med kits on them.

It can be rather challanging to keep 4 bitten people alive on Suicide difficulty though. However I do agree that it would be nice and realistic (I guess!) to implement certain % chance (scaling with difficulty) of infected but conscious party member to turn into Zed either as random event, or in regard of its decaying health and passing time.
