Worst aiming controls in any game ever!
I supported this game on greenlight the moment it was put on it, but now I have bought it and played it, I regret doing so. Clearly the devs put zero thought into controls for the PC vs app controls, despite being a completely different platform.
Not to mention, why change up the controls from the original, which everyone loved.
I see I am not the only one to complain about the controls for aiming and also the the devs don't seem to give a damn about addressing the issue.
Well, I gave my support before, campaigning for this game, now I will campaign against it and go around telling everyone to NOT buy this game, even for $1 or even take it for free.
The aiming controls alone completely ruin the rest of the game, which looks pretty good.
Thanks for ruining my childhood after the fact, devs.

Aiming is quite easy. All you have to do is click a zombie and drag your mouse to your character. Quite simple.

You are right, all those other comments in all the other threads are just invalid complaints and wrong. Sorry, I see the light now!

If you actually tried what I said instead of replying with a sarcastic and snide remark, perhaps you might actually be able to sucessfully shoot things.

Good luck anyhow. Least I tried to help.

That is helpful, but i do miss the orginal controlls.

It seems easy enough but it still feels clunky.

indeed, the stopping part just gets you killed. i do not remember having that problem in earlier versions of the game..

It's not that bad. At worst it's a little awkward.

They're awful but that doesn't stop me from enjoying the rest of the game.

i guess i could look at it from a realistic perspective but prefer the orginal take.

The aiming is pretty bad, if i could aim and shoot with the keyboard and not have to draw back with the mouse, it would be sooo much easier. I especially can't do the little missions where you're on top of the car, can't even aim as normal for those. At least while scavenging you can move, which makes it a bit easier...

Ugh this really REALLY needs to be fixed. But I agree with the previous post, doesn't stop me from enjoying the rest of the game, it's just that Hunting/Scavenging is such a HUGE part of these games to me, it's a real bummer it's so horrible :(

I dont know how someone would "fix" the controls. Would you want it to be another easy point click shoot flash game, is that challenging enough? All it takes is a little practice, and then it becomes pretty simple to do.
Im sure the devs put some thought into the controls. I guess its just a little more difficult for some :/

I don't have that much of an issue with it after some practice, but it is still frustrating at times. Especially during the event when you are stationary on top of the car. I feel like my mouse wildly moves around in circles and I cant control the aim at all. Survival would be luck at best in those situations for me. Maybe I just need more practice with that too?

I don't know, I'm not saying I want less challenge, but "controls" that don't feel like you have any "control" don't make sense to me.

I have to agree with the first poster. I love the idea of the game but the shooting controls were never coded with a mouse in mind. It is really frustrating when the gun aims anywhere, no matter what I do. Suddenly it aims into the opposite direction and I don't get why. Altough I believe it can't cope with a certain mouse sensitivity and that is one of the worst bugs I've ever encountered. I barely shoot into the direction of the zombies. Sad, because it would be a great game, but it depends on the scavenging missions, which I can't do.

I actually enjoy the aiming controls, it took me three tries to beat the game, and last time I checked I wasn't some sort of prodigy. The controlls are straight forward and work perfectly well for me. So if you fail to aim, then maybe it's your fault, and not the devs?

I checked these forums specifically because i was frustrated with the aiming controls, really puts me off the game. I can fully understand that you can get used to them but i dont get why are they SO clunky when you have a mouse at your disposal!? id rather aim with the arrow keys than use the mouse in all honesty i really dislike reverse axis controls.
