How do I remove the stomach?

In the first surgery, the heart transplant, I can get everything out but the stomach and esophagus that is blocking access to the heart. I've tried cutting it and pulling it out by force multiple times but it just doesn't work. All the videos for this are of the old version as well, so they're of no help. What's the trick to this?

Watch a tutorial you literally just cut the esophagus near the stomach then again near the top with a surgical knife.
