Getting "ricky fail" achievement

How do you get this achievement? I make it to floor 3 for my first game and there's no achievement.

Funny you should ask, as I just recently got this. I got hit by a Psirebral TK Fist on floor 1, dead.

You basically need to get a tough enemy you wouldn't normally get on the first floor or just let the critters mob you without armour on, you'll die fairly quick.

I think you can only get it on normal difficulty.

The description is pretty unclear on what to do, I thought it's achieved by reaching floor three on your first game, guess all that's necessary is just an intentional early death.

I don't know about intentional but I got it from dying very early.

Yeah, it's for dyng early, not for staying alive in the early game...

Try Insane or Seriously! ;)
( if that doesn't get you the award, either you survived, or it's been patched... )

I was also Psirebral'd on the first floor when I got it (Seriously? difficulty). Looks like you need to die before reaching Floor 3 to get it.

Having trouble with this one. I just died on the snow field and on floor two playing as psion and striker, both on normal, and it still hasn't unlocked. Anybody have any other advice?

Np gettin it, like Frijj said, take off the Armour and let some bats or st else kill u.
Tried it just a second ago, worked

Can confirm, got it on the Base game on Insane, died on the first level by a mecha. I played as Marine if it helps.

If you want to go out of your way to force the achievement instead of getting it in natural play, just grab the Marine, take off your Impact Armor, then proceed to throw all your grenade stock at the tile beside you. Should do you in after a good few.

Edit: Well, I just realized how old this thread was. Hope this helps somebody somehow so I'll just leave it here.
