Kerberos, any chance for a platinum edition?
More items, more crafting, more anything. I'd buy it in a heartbeat, anyone else?

Not me at least not in a long time. I'm not yet done with the base game , mind games is still not installed yet. The main reason is that I can't go back to a vanilla game experience after installing mind games. Copy and paste of my post from another thread:

"In Don't Starve there's game generation settings to adjust feature settings. Instead of just introducing many new features with each DLC which players are stuck with whether they like them or not, or turning up the nastiness of traps/monsters and increasing the number of floors, some game customisation would make for a more enjoyable game when players can remove features that they do not like. Maybe allow some choice in the number of floors generated?"

I know there are players who don't like the blue rooms, and players who don't like the increase in number of floors from 30-40. Instead of just constantly adding new and more items, recipes and monsters, more game customisation would be good. Heard of new quick and fast game modes but I think more can be done.

I agree that it would be nice to decide what version to play, the extra floors give it a whole new difficulty. In general, I'm pretty much hoping for more work and more content in the future, and the game modes we're talking about could be a great feature

Also agree. I'm only just within reach of finishing vanilla on easy as Engineer. I'm hooked and it's great stuff, but 40 floors would be too much of a slog for my tastes, hence no DLC. It becomes a grind at around floor 25, that'd be my sweet spot I think.

Agreed again. The additional 10 floors sound pretty awful to me. I got to Floor 30 on Easy a couple times, and could probably win it with better play and decent luck. But it gets a bit repetitive and hard to keep focused in the mid-20s. That's also when Easy starts to get more challenging in the base game, so it kind of balances out. But ultimately, I think something like 20 floors of Normal or 30 floors of Easy is what us sub-par players are more about. The fact is that with permadeath, longer *is* harder. If you have a 3% chance of dying each floor from 10 on, then you actually have only a 40% of making it to the end. The only way to offset this would be to make the game easier and therefore more boring.

I would like to see more balancing, too. It would be nice to play Fast or Quick whenever I felt like it, but in reality, some classes are really gear-dependent and are hurt by it, while others do better with the frequent leveling up for free Psi refills. It becomes a strategy rather than a personal taste. It would take a lot of work to smooth this out, though.

Shut up and take my money.

On subject of additional 10 floors added by DLC - with all new dangers, monsters and dungeon features it's not as grindy as vanilla was I think (last few floors was just a zuul female spam in vanilla). With that said, the DLC floors are way harder than the base game floors. I just got blasted around level 20-22 by a cyborg hiver queen after losing hundreds of ammo on 3 levels of snow biome... and that was on normal!

I think this might be the problem, its hard to decide what to make optional and what to keep as a core element. This game has great features from before and after DLC, it would be difficult to choose one and not the other.

As dustbiter mentioned, Don't Starve has a generator to decide the level of each component, but its also a game that just lets you play how you like, there isnt a clear goal in mind as you start out. This game has clear set goals, plus achievements. It feels far more legit to make it to the end in this game and say "That was an accomplishment". You wouldnt have to worry about someone beating you, but only because they didnt include scavenger bots or some other annoyance.

In the end, the bottom line is "more". If the game keeps expanding after this, ill be happy

Actually Don't Starve has a pretty clear goal from the start, it's in the title, Maxwell advices you to find something to eat, you are trying to survive as long as you can initially. For The Pit you are trying to go as deep as you can towards the end. Achievements, I don't think they're that important in the first place, especially with the advanced start grinding introduced by the blue rooms.

My point is "more" also can introduce unwanted game elements that game customisation can remove or modify to improve the game experience. The unequal start settings that can be introduced have already been introduced by the blue rooms.

I want new animation for old classes. Ranger movement, details and pose so much better then old ones.

The original three look like total derps on the character select screen. I think it's how their torsos contract like accordians.
