but now a days ive embrased all the tension involved, got stockholm syndrome, like an addicted gambler i just keep giving it "one more chance"
i know when im going to die,but i resist and wont lie down till i spent every last resource.
Also, the early game is sooo drawn out and I just feel like I'm going through the motions of getting everything from the levels which, while necessary, takes way too long. And any mistakes I make there don't signficantly impact the run until hours later when the sum of all the little resource drains compound and kill me when I run out of ammo and useables. It's too much tedium and busywork just to see if maybe the game will decide to grace me with some decent guns and the right type of ammo this time around - no? Okay then, we're dead again. That's an evening wasted. Right-click, delete local content...
I used to think that the game was geared towards ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ you up, rather than being a challenge. And I have to say I still think that its true... the game can be incredibly frustrating to play but... its also incredibly rewarding when you actual complete a run. Having said that you do stand more chance the more you play and fail.... as long as you increase your recipe repetoire.
Since I installed Mind Games Im still through my first run on that... the psi mechanics make it a little more easier to get further but Im still finding shortfalls in ammo (rather than food) now... :)
However I doubt Ill ever uninstall this game. As long as I dont play to much or get to invested in a run. Otherwise when it really frustrates I go do something else! :)
I don't feel nothing, I just re-start.
