Increasing Sentence of Prisoners or Sentencing them to Death if they Murder Staff
I think this would be a great little feature! What do you all think?

Sentencing to death doesn't really make much sense if we're anticipating this to be a relatively civil prison...of course it doesn't have to be that way haha.

Death row prisoners however would be a nice addition just on its own. Prisoners where security is vital to maintain as they have nothing to lose.

I'd just be happy with sentence reducing/extending to add more flexibility to the game. Ie have parole boards for the better behaved prisoners and be able to threaten prisoners with extended sentences to keep them in line.

Haha well it's not really an overly civil prison if you have inmates who kill your staff, riot police and warden!

I'd like to have the opportunity to watch the scum of my prison executed ha!

I would LOVE for this feature to be added, not only that, it's realistic. obviously prisoners get realised for good behavior after they reach a certain point in their sentence. Say Someone has a sentence of 10 years, and has no violations inside prison, or has violations. For instance finding contraband, assault, attempted escape, etc... You can decide to have a prisoner be realised and approve parole at say, 80% (8) of the 10 years, or deny parole and have him finish off the rest of his sentence. Also have a note beside the charges for prisoners whom have no chance at parole. The parole board hearing would be decided at a set time also, maybe something like every 10 days or so, I have no idea how the years pass in the game since all we see is days.

Yeah, SO realistic that a prison-manager is sentencing people to death or whatever punishment for crimes. That is what countries have judges for, remember?

Death row will come, but we won't have a say in who dies and who don't, for this isn't our job - no matter how much some sick maniacs would like that. PA is aiming to be somewhat authentic, not plain ridiculous.

But brace yourselves, modding will know next to no borders in this game, so you all will be able to satisfy your needs for little power-games...

Well, I never said anything about the death row suggestion. I do however think it would be a nice feature to have a parole board. Prisoners do see a council board.

Inmates do commit crimes inside of prison, and have those convictions added to their sentence as a seperate charge. Maybe this idea/suggestion is not the hottest, but the parole board would be. Inmates are granted/denied parole often depending on certain facts, it's up to the board (you) to decide. If we can manage the prison policy why not the parole hearings?

Parole hearings have featured in other prison titles, such as 'Prison Tycoon 1-4' which is no longer my prefered prison sim, thanks to PA. I love this game as is, no matter if they add this feature or not, I'll continoue to play this title as often as I may.

I'm not trying to argue your point that we have no control over what is added in the future updates, mearly putting my two cents in.

I agree, I wish I could just lengthen their sentence to life so they could never leave! Maybe you could build a little courthouse right there in the prison too so things can go quicker.

Hope can create a special folder for us and browse through. We decide they are dead or rot inside the cells. Is like we grant those inmates earlier release or sentence to dead.

You are not the judge, jury and executioner(Untill we get death rows). You are a prison warden, you don't get to choose who gets executed or have their sentences increased, that's the courts job.

You might have the ability to mess around with paroles, when they or if they get added. And we have modding anyway, so someone else will probably make a "Arbeit macht frei" camp for you in due time.
lime 4 FEB 2014 a las 6:16
you need to sentence them for more years if they kill someone in your prison OR drive them away to your other prison with more hard regime and everything

I am sure that PA coders will one day add the parole feature. I just think along with that feature they add another option to be able to be in control of adding your own desired time for certain offences. Oh and to the "Arbeit macht frei" comment, I don't like Nazis, nor the idea of Nazi camps.

Let me quote some text that is provided by Discovery Channel.

Publicado originalmente por Discovery Channel:
The actual discipline administered to an inmate varies based on a state or prison's rules and the severity of the infraction. In general, minor infractions usually earn an inmate a shot on his or her record, which is like a demerit of sorts. When it comes time for parole or for getting a prison privilege of some kind, having many marks on the record will work against an inmate. More serious infractions can result in a hearing before the warden or other prison officials.

If punishment is deemed warranted, it can mean time in solitary confinement, demotion to a less desirable prison job, reduction in good behavior time served (which shortens the inmate's sentence) or confiscation of personal items. Greater punishment might even result in a transfer to a maximum-security prison. If the inmate already is in a maximum-security prison and he commits a crime while inside (for example, he kills another inmate), he can be tried for that crime in a traditional criminal court.
