Price
Hello, now before anybody starts raging at me i just want to say that i REALLY want this game VERY VERY BADLY. However, i think that the current price is slightly too high. I think that around 15$ is a good price. I do know that the makers of this game have already gotten at LEAST 1 million dollars so many people are probably thinking," why would they lower the price now if they are already making a ton of money?" Im not saying that they should permanetly make it 15$, but i think that they should just have a sale where it goes down to about that much. Also, the game is only in Alpha, so that means its not the finished product so i dont think they should have it that high in price when its only in alpha. This is only my opinion, i just want to see if anybody else agrees with me and if/when people disagree with me why they disagree with me. Thank you!

Don't take this the wrong way man - I understand where you are coming from, but these discussions are done to death, and they always end up in heated arguments and lots of very angry internet people. Don't get too upset if jimmies get severely rustled on both sides of the question.

The price is what it is, and what it was when it was on sale. If that wasn't quite what you wanted, you will have to wait until the developers decide the price should change. It's their game, they can decide what to charge for it, and for all the positive or negative feedback one way or the other, it remains fully in the developers hands to do anything about this.

Hopefully it will be available to you at some point in the future.

Almost $5 million actually.

It was just in the summer sale for $20.

The reason for the high price during alpha has been mentioned many times before.
You cant want it VERY VERY BADLY if your not willing to pay what is a reasonable price for it.

Has anyone who has bought the game moaned about the price or is just people who want every game for little to nothing?
.... £20 for an bug filled alpha, OR £10-15 for a finished game. Let's see...

This. If you're not willing to shell out $5 more than what you think SHOULD be the price, then how BADLY do you want it really?

bug filled? a few bugs here and there but it is playable, so bug fulled? nope. :HanzosShadow:
It's called people have their own personal lines with regards to price. Every alpha's a risk, the game might stop getting developed or it may take a turn against what the playerbase wants, therefore alphas should not be sold at higher prices than full games which are complete and thus don't have the risk if you're willing to look into before buying. Simple as. The notion of "higher alpha price to make it elitist" is utter marketing BS

The AI's glitchy as hell, the graphics are glitchy, a bunch of the stuff doesn't work (I'm not talking about the stuff that states it isn't working ingame). Hell, even the trailers point out the bugs that are still in the game.

never had glitchy AI or graphics. yes the workmen tend to wobble around when trying to put toilets in the cells. "a bunch of the stuff doesn't work" like what? :o everything ingame for me works just fine.

The price of the game is lower than many other games. And you're not buying the alpha, you're buying the finished game, but you get to play the game as it's developed.

Nowhere did they say the price was to make the game elitist. They wanted people who were going to contribute to the development of the game through bug reports, and they thought the way to do that was to price it high to keep out those who would complain about the game being buggy when it's unfinished.

The only graphics problem is with AMD cards, for which there's a workaround. The AI is a little problematic, but nowhere near as glitchy as you beleive. And what stuff that's currently in the game other than the fog of war doesn't work?
Utilities and walls don't mix. Room requirements that aren't listed, or they just don't work.

Ok, here's a few. Utilities and walls don't mix well. Workers can get stuck on loop and never recover, also ensuring whatever job they glitched on won't get done. A bunch of rooms have requirements that aren't stated, generally resulting in weird bugs or just not working. Execution room doesn't work at all, outside of the tutorial same with the "security". The way doors work is retarded, leaving doctors/workers/chefs potentially trapped in rooms for hours at a time. I've had doors that just disappear, including the main front door which promptly triggered about 5 prisoners to try and break out. It also randomly crashes. Want me to go google some forums and see what other people have experienced?

go right ahead :D my PA works just fine. the execution room and security room got no use right now, but will be in the future. having enough guards and a smart enough set up will not leave staff headbanging into a door for hours. " A bunch of rooms have requirements that aren't stated", like what?
