Prison Architect Laundry Problems
In my prison, the laundry doesn't get distributed evenly; I currently have 2 cell blocks, and while the whole B block gets clean laundry, half of A block don't even have the uniforms delivered to them. This is a growing concern, as those prisoners keep rioting, causing a lot of casualties. (And a lot of money)

Does anyone have a temporary fix for this, or at least something to keep them from rioting? Any help will be appreciated.

This seems to be a major problem for lots of players.
I think the only thing to do is unfortunately just wait till the next alpha release and hope for the best.

Got the same problem.. Aso if you assign too many prisoners to the same laundry room, they will get stuck in eachother. Sometimes the prisoner with the laundry cart will also get stuck in this pile of people.. :) pretty sure the devs knows this..

I can't even seem to assign workers to my Laundry Room. They'll go work in my Kitchen just fine, but not my Laundry or Workshop. >.<

That and if the work shift ends without a basket in the laundry room it tends to stop working altogether until you buy another basket to fill the room validation requirement. And you can't sell or dump baskets, so after a while there are laundry baskets everywhere.

All of my laundry baskets get left in the same place in my prison so I have have a really glitchy stack of baskets in the middle of my prison

Also, if you have laundry in the machine, and their shift ends, the laundry and the machine is lost.. To work around that you gotta dismandle and setup the laundry machine again, But the Clothes is forever lost..

If you don't have a door enclosing your laundry room you cannot assign workers.

Yup, all the laundry baskets just gets stuffed into a cell.

I've also experienced the bug of the baskets getting stuck in cells. I have to dezone for it to correct.

Even then, prisoners complain about clothing despite clean clothes sitting on their beds, so the AI do not seem to recognize the clean clothes. It's happened in multiple prisons. Everything is going well, earning money, yet the prisoners get angry due to dirty clothes and start shanking everyone.

Yeah, same problem with distribution. I tried to make another cell block with a laundry hoping that would fix the problem, but alas, they just took all the carts from there and moved them into the other cell block. Hope this is fixed in Alpha 10. This actually makes the game unplayable because of how much damage and problems it causes.

I agree.

yeah i have the same issue half my prison gets 2 fresh uniforms per bed and the other half doesn't and they complain and stuff, its actually quite hard to keep them in line because any food/familly/resting concerns the whole block kicks off

make sure your work regime is long enough for them to complete both blocks. it also doesnt hurt to have your laundry located near the cells. hope that helped. if you dont have enough uniforms, you can always open up the save file and add however many unifroms you're missing with notepad and find the line with 'uniform' and add more to the quantity.

That's good advice, but the problem I have is that the prisoners assigned to the laundry room do not work at all. They just stand in the laundry room and don't touch the bins. New clothes sit on the beds, prisoners don't use them. Old clothes sit in the cell, no one picks them up during work hours. I thought the problem was solved with Alpha 10 but I started a new prison and it seems to replicate

Laundry isn't perfect but they improved the system just a tad bit.

With the alpha 10 build, make sure you purchase an IRONING BOARD! Took me awhile to figure out what was going on until I realized an ironing board is needed to uncrumble the clothes from the laundry machine.

Make sure you don't assign too many prisoners. I have a prison capacity of 140 and 9 prisoners can do an efficient job. I also have 4 luandry baskets and 1 ironing board. That setup seems to work just fine. It's not perfect, they dance around in the work area but I only found out they do that becuase they are waiting for one of the baskets to reach its intended cell block. Once its ready they spring into action gathering and handing out uniforms. Make sure the laundry guy route at least 2 squares wide.

Also, they have a habit of dropping the baskets in the shower. Just giving you a headsup.
