Black screen when loading game

So I have been playing in Safe-Mode on prison architect for quite some time and I decided that I would just play the fullscreen mode. When I load it, all I get is a black screen, the map not loading and nothing loads. I can still move around and such but the map won't load. Is there a solution to this?

I found out that skype was running on my computer and the notification from that was pulling focus away from the game. For example if I alt tabed back to the game it would be ok, but wouldn't refresh the screen. Also the taskbar refused to hide when skypes notification was on.

Basically get rid of any notifications you may have and the focus should remain on the game.

For me the screen was black, but I could tell it was working because the sound was working fine. I alt tabed to the game and I could then see the map, but it wouldn't respond to WASD. however I noticed that if i went to the top lef of the screen it would then show that if I alt tabed back to the game. It was all a matter of focus being removed by the notifications.

I spent a while trying to find the solution. Hope this helps someone.

my game wont work and screen is just black but if i have taskmanger open it works put game will be frozen if you click on game again
