Item stacking bug

In my prison I had a bunch of workers drop their items off all the the same location. They can't pick them back up and the workers end up walking in circles around it. They then proceed to say that everything is too dangerous to do. I've tried building over it and clicking the dump button on all the items.

Does anyone know a way around this?

Save + Reload :( Often have the same problem and it doesn't resolve itself at night when all prisoners sleep

Sounds a bit like the problem I had where workers stopped building a wing.. Just meandered around a load of crates. Save and reload had no affect on the problem.

Im having a similar problem loads of my workers and kitchen staff and even some doctors just run around the same spot with outstanding jobs that they cant/wont do because of danger even though my prisoners are compliant, seems to be a problem with boxes stacked on top of each other in the entrance to the prison, noone will do anything!

I saved and reloaded and then did a shakedown. My problem went away but I'm not sure if there was any correlation between the steps I took.

User error on my part. Deliveries were clogged up. Expanded the deliveries area and it fixed the problem.
