Worth picking up during a sale.
Murdered Soul Suspect has an interesting story and game world, but in terms of gameplay it stumbles. The demon combat feels tacked on, as if the developers were nervous that players would be bored just walking around collectible hunting and case solving. The gameplay isn't boring, but it lacks critical thought. The worst thing you can do as a detective in this game is think hard. There was one particular moment where Ronan says something along the lines of "what evidence was there of her being at the church?" and the clue that I picked was a picture of the person and a priest. Naturally, this piece of evidence was wrong and the correct piece of evidence was literally called "The Church." That's not the worst of it. Murdered gives you badge ratings based on your 'effectiveness' but there is no reason to try and score high. You never hit a dead end in a case, or get different endings.
Despite those gripes I do like this game. Salem is interesting and it's fun playing as a ghost, but even if your powers are incredibly limited. For example: Why can't I move someone after possessing them? Anyways, if you get this game be sure to hunt for collectibles because it gives off a lot of town and character backstory to make the game more enjoyable.
I'd say pick this game up for 5-10 dollars, or your regional equivalent.
