Why haven't you bought this game yet?
Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon is honestly the first "Far Cry" I've ever played, and I have to say, this is one hell of a way to get introduced into a series. Lasers, explosions, mutant animals, dragons that SHOOT lasers that EXPLODE, and of course, the awesome electronic 80s music. There's even some humor, which only helps you enjoy the game even more. The story is good, but most people would probably be too focused on killing anything that moves.
At the time of this review it might say I have very few hours put in, but I've already beaten the Xbox 360 version, on top of collecting everything and doing everything. There is quite a bit to do, but unfortunately, when you hit the end, all there is to do are the missions you didn't do, liberate garrisons that you haven't touched, collect whatever you didn't collect, and run around killing Blood Dragons, OF, and some animals.
The weapons in this game range from a bow and arrow (tricked out in neon of course), to a gigantic minigun. Most weapons have all sorts of attatchments that are unlocked by doing the side missions, and they can really make you unstoppable. As you run around shooting and killing everything, you can gain up to 30 levels, which also make you more powerful by giving you some abilities, such as being more flame resistant, giving you health, increasing you speed, etc.
I've had this game in my library for about a year, and just now I decided to test it on my not-so-stellar laptop. If your GPU is as bad as an Intel HD 4400, know that I'm able to run this without much FPS lag on Directx 9 and every setting set to low.
There is just nothing that I can possibly think of that makes this game bad.
Other than Uplay.
Oh, did I mention the minigun that shoots lasers in the begining?
