Far Cry® 3 Blood Dragon

Game crashes on launch
I have Steam installed on my external drive (M:) and have installed Blood Dragon in the default folder which is M:\Steam\SteamApps. When I launch Blood Dragon uPlay starts up, logs me in and I have the option to launch the game through the uPlay window. Once I do that, a grey window instantly comes up giving me the option to either look for a solution online and close the program, or just close the program. This also happens to me with Far Cry 3.

Unfortunately I have the same situation. I'm going to try reinstalling on the local C drive and hope that solves the problem.

Reinstalled on C drive and all is working now.

Unfortunately I don't have the room on my small Windows partition on my laptop SSD to install any games, so reinstalling on my C: drive is not an option for me. I wish they'd just fix this so it works on external drives like pretty much every other game on Steam. But that is probably too much to ask.

I had a problem with crashing when installed on my new WD 3Tb drive. I got Seagate 2Tb external and it installs and plays from it just fine. The drive is a Backup Plus and was onsale at Best Buy.
