Can't play because of uplay...

Why do they have to include this terrible extra DRM? It only punishes me for being a paying customer. I can't play because UPlay is telling me that I must login but even after resetting my password it will not accept my credential. Anybody else run into this junk and have a workaround?

change the settings in uplay options(when you are logging inn screen) to start in offline mode, then restart.
it worked for me.

yep i got the same message did what akiobl1980 said when it launched i then via uplay it self clicked go online and everything picked up fine ... so i hope it works for you guys and if any gals :)

I had this same problem and after talking to thier customer support they gave me a huge workaround that amounted to just uninstalling uplay and reinstalling it. Then manualy adding the activation code into thier launcher.

So I tried what aklovi1980 said, and even if I click "Start offline" and restart the game, it still makes me go online to activate the product code...
