Crash on startup if launched from steam...

but it works if i click play (after the crash) on the uplay client...i don't know if i've been clear, does anybody encountered this same problem?

I'm a little late but this ♥♥♥♥ happened to me too. But then i disabled UPlay overlay (in UPlay options) and now i finally have Steam overlay working in-game and the game starts from Steam (and Steam desktop shortcut). :)

tnx for the suggestion mate...actually your fix works, i don't know if this a problem related to steam or to the game...anyway this issue should be fix
