Face it, you guys all love the game, no exceptions.
I'm surprised that none of you has actually decided to simply not buy the game and move on. Instead you keep making silly posts on the forums. This can mean only one thing, you guys just all love the game so much that you have to have it.

I'll see you at release guys, because I know you can't stop yourself from buying it somewhere along the road.

Haha, have a bump for speaking the truth!

Too bad Uber judges the fans love for this game by the size of their wallet.

I don't think it's surprising that people would be upset they can't play the alpha of a series they love because they can't afford extreme premiums to play said alpha.

I want this game, it's in my wishlist, unfortunately I can't play the alpha because my love for this series is not proportional to the size of my wallet.

I don't think this is that hard to understand.

It's also not hard to understand that the whole "KS backers feelings" is a damn convenient excuse to take advantage of some fans.

I have no choice but to get it at $40, it's still my right to be upset that they're charging a $50 premium to play the alpha a $40 game. I love this series but I'm not stupid.

How would you not agree with that? The people that have put down the money aren't all rich, they had to make a significant effort by putting down the money in the first place.
The result, whether you like it or not is a very constructive, non-♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ alpha backer community that manages to be more constructive in half an hour than the average steam community manages to be in a week.

That's perfectly fine, you can just wait for the beta or for the release. The game isn't all that playable right now anyways, you're not missing that much.

I'd say it's perfectly reasonable to take advantage of people who are fully willing to pay the price in order to adjust the scope of the game to be bigger than was originally intended. The more people pay, the more extensive the game will become.

Thanks for that.

I'm sick of hearing about how poor everyone is.

'Oh I love the game, but I only love it enough to pay next to nothing for it.'

If you love it so much, go work a couple of hours overtime and buy it. Problem solved. Everyone here works for their money, and I'm pretty sure that $90 isn't an insignificant sum to spend for most of us, but it's our money to spend and we don't need strangers bellyaching endlessly on our behalf.

The point is not the game costing $90 (it actually costs $40)
The point is asking greatly inflated premiums for alpha access over the normal price based on the KS excuse.

That's a bad precedent, this really shouldn't be hard to understand to people with a functional brain.

Alpha access can have a premium but not to the point it's a luxury.

There's 20 more games in early access that don't cost more than $30 or $40.

Do you want them to follow the example?

Actually the videos I've seen make the game look pretty bad. It's nothing more than the same units/gameplay ported over from TA / Supcom on smaller maps now called planets. No AI, no single player planned (that's just what I heard correct me if I'm wrong) but this look like little more than a budget title.

I think the guy that made the ai mod for supcom is working on the ai.
There are single player skirmishes planed just no campaign, as far as i know there was never going to be one
As for the map size? At this stage in the alpha they are fine

edit; planet sizes are to be randomly generated

Like I said, you must love the game as you're still here instead of moving on. Complaining here on the steam forums really does nothing to change the thing you're against. Instead, by being here you actually helping them achieve exactly what they want.

Exactly what they wanted, um I think you under-estimate just how many people they #issed off. This game if ever released will fade in to blackness shortly after. It was nothing but hype like most new games are, once you actually see some of the gameplay on youtube, the hype wears off, this is a medicore game at best. Those who threw 90+ or more at the game are feel like they have to defend it, the fact is the game could be in alpha for years or just given up like some of their others....

Would you rather the alpha was $40 and the final game was $90? Would you be fine with that and not be complaining? Let me answer that for you: No, you would be here moaning just as loudly about the exorbitant price.

Don't hide behind the "I'm fighting for justice" baloney and own up to the real issue you have. It's too expensive. You don't want to pay $90 and you're having a whine about it. That's your prerogative I guess. Me, I'm not a pensioner on a fixed income so if I want something expensive I got out and work so I can afford it, instead of wasting my time complaining about how expensive it is.

Then again don't take my advice, 'cause according to your good self I don't have a functional brain. O_o

You've been here over a week, doing nothing but posting bitter little rants about how much you hate the game and how much you hope it fails.

I find that a very sad way to spend your time.

Oh wait, let me guess. You paid $15 for Monday Night Combat, have over 100 hours logged playing it, and now because Uber have stopped paying to maintain free servers for your $15 game, you feel justified in slagging them off and slandering everything they do?
