However, I can honestly say I don't remember the story at all. Couldn't even remember the protagonists' name. But I still remember many of the environments in the game and some of those boss battles were so awesome it made up for the the less-than-stellar portions of the game.
Many of the criticisms of this game were completely valid, though, and I don't blame anyone that didn't find this game to be decent. For me, however, it was tremendously fun (if a little frustrating) and to read that it's been ported to pc with care makes me happy, not to mention for so cheap :).
So for anyone reading this that is on the fence about buying it or not: if you place a lot of value on story or characters, this isn't the game for you. If, however, you're more interested in unique and exciting gameplay, get this, it's very much worth it. The game also sports impressive visuals, so there's that.
All in all, a solid but flawed rpg.
In what RPG isn't the main character a "whiney spoilt brat"?
