Early Access Review
Nice big colourful battlefield where you don't have to strain your eyes reading tiny text
No mana dependence
Easy earning of ingame currency with daily logins and 3 wins
You can buy any card with your earned currency (though getting a legendary can take up to 15 days of play)
Interesting and complex card interactions
Newbie decks are often matched up with legendary filled decks - this is probably one of the biggest reasons why new players will get discouraged and not stay with Solforge - a newbie would rather wait to be matched up with another newbie than be matched up fast with a super deck
You can only play 2 cards per turn usually, which feels too limiting and drives players inevitably towards the cards which help break that rule - 3 would provide better balance and create even more interesting interactions. Seriously only being able to play 2 cards per turn is a major drag lol. It almost makes me want the mana/resources system back so that I can get to play more than 2 cards
Screen layout and decor still feels a bit stiff and amateurish
Most of the strong decks all pack in Nekrium ('black') legendary cards - that is so obvious an imbalance that needs to be addressed and I'm very surprised they haven't yet - are they Satanic programmers or something hehe
If you're a newbie, play it daily for just three wins (can be against computer) until you strengthen your card collection and you won't get frustrated. Remember you can forge any card you want with the silver you earn ingame.
The game has great potential, perhaps as much as Magic The Gathering when it first started out, and with new cards introduced regularly and speedily to compete with other card games, especially non-Nekrium legendaries, the game will be more colorful, balanced, varied and interesting. Those are imho the only ways it can genuinely catch up with MTG.
