Eador: Masters of the Broken World... What has it brought to us? A fine picture, a new DLC (which you will rarely use to your advantage) and a damn lot of bugs!
First of all, the game is not optimized at all! Its graphics are not so great, because it's just a turn-based strategy, but is uses more resources than Skyrim until it just refuses to work. Relaunching the game may help, but I want to play, not launch it over and over again. But that's not all. Tons of bugs still occur after so many updates. Devs, are you sure you fix them? I don't see it. Just two days ago, it crashed, when I attempted to conquer a new shard and no matter how many times I reloaded the game and the save file, it was crashing in the same place. Do I have to begin it from the very beginning after so many hours of playing to get the same error again someday?! Oh, come on...
New DLC... Yeah, it's fun sometimes, but that's not what I expected. It could have been much better! You just have some new units for the creatures you can make an alliance with, but if you have a troll or a minotaur, then you won't use them at all, because they are too week. And completing some tasks becomes more difficult, because, if you need to kill 10 dwarves, you'll have to kill 100 dwarves and that's not funny at all.
Tastes differ, I know, but I liked the Eador: Genesis's interface more. It looked better and worked better. It was more convenient.
Another thing that I did not like at all! The game has become easier! A damn lot easier compared to Eador: Genesis. When you attempt to conquer a shard, you've got 3-4 new building to acquire... When you finally conquer a shard, you get 7-8 new buildings! And how am I supposed to call that bonus? Yeah, a piece of s**t! It just ruins all the fun! You don't have to plan ahead, you don't have to choose wisely which shard you should conquer next. And in the end (if you get to it, because it can crash anytime, as I mentioned above) you have to (yes, you HAVE to) conquer EMPTY shards! And you know what? It pisses me off to waste time like that!
The result: yes, Eador: Genesis is older, it doesn't have that pretty though useless DLC, it's not 3D, it doesn't have these pretty (also quite useless though) achievements in Steam, but it works well and it's more challenging, and that is why I'll choose that old beauty instead of this new piece of garbage! So, as you have already guessed, I do NOT recommend it!
