i still have my old leasure suit larry 1,2,3,5 disks and lsl 6 cd and lsl 7 cd complete with box :P Anyone else? Saw the remake sorry i didnt see the kickstarter or i would have donated some cash to it ... Anyways The first time i played leasure suit larry was on my 286 pc then eventually upgraded to a 486 dx2 66 along with the roland mt-32 (which i still own 2 of the roalnd mt-32s that is..) Anyone else?

I must be on the young side. First time I played LSL was in 1994 when the Greatest Hits and Misses collection came out.

Light weights, I still have the original Zork 1 on 5 1/4 inch disk for the C64 from the early 80s.

I think I have Police Quest somewhere and played the Space Quest games, but by the time Larry came along I was done with the sudden deaths/getting stuck and having no idea how to advance so never bothered.

We didn't have the Internet back then and you had to hope for a tip in one of the columns of the magazines of the time otherwise that was it, you had to just accept the game was done.

They might have had the pay per minute hint lines, but I think that was later on in the 80s/90s and I never called one.

Lol magazine tips, I remember that too. Played Larry first time on C64, but couldn't complete the game because it was so hard. Finished it first time on 286 PC some years later.

I didnt actually play the game since I didnt own a computer, but I was reading computer magazines in the 80s and I remember that game since it was popular. I may have watched the Amiga version of a Larry game, I am not so sure.
Only chance I had to play that game was the Love for Sale demo.

Still, a point a click adventure game is much less of a mess and more enjoyable than those open world bug infested newer titles

the reason it took me so long to play was remember the old xt systems then 286s didnt come cheep at 4000 dollars a pop...

I remember... when I was a kid I somehow had a dodgy copy of this game on my PS1 i believe... and I remember like a school or something? and some minigame with "tadpoles" (thats what I thought they were cause I was only a kid)... LOL my mom saw me playing the minigame and went crazy and took the disc... and broke it in half lmao! Now that I am older... I finally realise what the game was really about lol

I own every Sierra "Quest" game, along with nearly every other game they made. My first LSL was Greatest Hit's and Misses though, bought in 1994. Other than Oregon Trail and number crunchers, the first computer game I ever played was Space Quest 3. It blew me away at the time

I'm 37. Played this originaly on a C64. Later bought this and others for my Atari ST, then for the pc when I got a 386. I remember struggling with the intro questions lol.

King's Quest 1 was the first game I played from Sierra. It literally taught me to type when I was a little kid. My friend would control the character and I would type. Which was needed for us back then because the action would not stop when you started typing a command :) "Throw tank at monster" comes to mind from SQ1. Space Quest and Quest for Glory were both my favorite series.

My parents had the pong system too. Crazy how far we have come.

Oh man the EMS and XMS! Was like typing magic. First game I played with a 3D card was Quake 2 and pretty much thought the same thing you did.

I played it on my old 286 8Mhz machine with 1Mb memory and 20Mb hard disk. And oh, a EGA monitor... so 16 real different colors at the same time. Woot :-).

I like it to see the game again. And it is kinda a refresment after all the high level graphic games as Black Ops II, Tomb Raider Reborn and Far Cry 3 (and don't get me wrong, I love those games also a lot).

yay i remember my 386k dauggherboard for ram.. The day i got my voodoo 1 graphics board which i still own and actualy have one in a box sealed and one in a p166 that still works. I also still own a voodoo banshee and voodoo 3 board. There in a system that i use as a headless server so actually needing video out is moot its just there to get the systems to boot lol..
