No german-sided campaign?

Maybe its only in the 'full game'. Would be disappointed not to. One of the things I liked about the first Company of Heroes was that Relic actually had the guts to do a German sided campaign and not cave in to this "propaganda garbage" where all Germans from WWII were Nazis, bla bla bla that games like Medal of Honor, and Call of Duty did. The Market Garden campaign was beautifully done because not only did they make the victory not feel like a victory, but because you were glad the main characters survived because he was actually portrayed as a decent guy and not some derogitory, pro-Nazi, Waffen SS fanatic in the effort to show that not all German soldiers and officers were like that (and that like the Soviets, it was the option of fighting or getting shot).

I think, providing there is not one already in there, the best way to do a German campaign for this would be to have the campaign begin at the start of Operation Barbarossa and end with the Germans pushing the Soviets all the way back to the Volga in Stalingrad then they could end it with a cutscene of them thinking they are going to win or something. And have the campaign lead right into the Soviet campaign.

Try to check "theatre of war" after release. There will be Nazi mini-campaigns as well.

I'd like to see a Battle of Berlin map where you see how long you can hold off the Soviets from taking the city. Give it its own leaderboard thats scored by the time.

There are achievements that look like they would be related to playing against the Soviets in campaign, so I'm betting there will be a campaign for them.

In WW2 many of the soldiers who were on the front line "were not NAZI's or maddly supported the Third Reich." They were just normal soldiers fighting for their country and family. The Nazi's and the Third Reich lovers were often at the back of all the fighting, watching as all the poor normal men got shot-up.

Also when the Russians finally came to Germany, they had unconsented sexual intercourse with all our women and even girls, as young as 8 years old. The Russians also treated the Jews like crap, even to a point that some jewish prisoners commented that the NAZI's took better care of them. Remember that Russians were even worst that the Germans, only of cause they won and we lost. By the way I don't mean to put-down or insult Russians or Russian war-heroes, I'm just stating the truth.

Pretty sure there is going to be an expansion/addon later on containing a full german campaign, like it was with the first CoH ("Opposing Fronts").

Hopefully - I hope this someday will be like Panzer General where there were 3 major campaigns with Axis, West and East Allies.

Just a few weeks ago, Relic dropped a very pleasant surprise on fans by showing off the new Theater of War mode, which is a cooperative single-player mode that serves as a bridge to multiplayer play. The title will ship with the 1941 pack of Theater of War missions, including nine German and nine Russian missions. That’s a huge amount of additional content considering that the single-player campaign itself has just 14 missions.

The game is set in 1943-44, we see that by the units included and the campaign dates, which is basically where the 'interesting' fights would be for the Soviet side; not being a mop-up and not being constant retreats.

The same would be true of the German side in 1941-42, but after that things were pretty grim.

I would guess that an expansion, which has earlier setting factions, would be a good one for focusing on a German campaign.
