underrated title
Do not let the metacritic score fool you.

I got this game for 5 euro's (can't name the site here but mix the word king with last 3 letters in penguin), but after completing it, i would not feel remorse even at 20 euro's.

Very nice mix of comedic indiana jones cutscenes and level design, decent action and puzzle portions with variable difficulty for each.

the AI, and some of the voice acting are pretty bad, but overall, I had a blast playing this.

for 5 euros or less games suddenly appear better than they normally would and people that bough it on heavy discounts just a are biased and have lower expectations, and dont complain as much as these who bough it on launch and experienced some occassional bugs and expected more from full proced launch release ;) like... the older the game gets, the better it gets. also cheaper... it's like a magic, or... something ;P I didnt finish it yet, but what I played I liked also. :)

I don't use METABS any longer. I find that a great majority of the scores are more of an indicator of a products launch as opposed to the game itself. I use Metacritic just to see how the product lanuch went/ Meaning, game stability and so forth. If it gets a low score I generally wait some times before buying it but, overall I find Metacritics score to be unreliable.

Glad you liked it.

Yeah, gotta be careful about that. They don't want us to know about fair deals when they're pushing euro=dollar and putting developing countries in the same price bracket as advanced economies such as the scandinavian countries.

I'm playing the linux version which has some serious technical problems like horrendous loading times but I still can't understand the low metacritic rating. Gameplay is fun enough and I'm enjoying the whole setting and level design.

I played it for a few hours when it was free and I enjoyed it quite a lot.
Although it ran quite well when I tried it, my pc was still rocking a 3.0ghz C2D cpu, I've upgraded to a 3.8ghz xeon and plan to buy this when it's on sale.
I would have bought it a while ago but bugs that people reported on Linux put me off back then.
Seems like the bugs on Linux have been sorted? or maybe aren't that game breaking?

So far I haven't encountered any real game breaking bugs with the linux version in the single player campaign. Loading times and random ingame hickups are the most annoying issues. Most of the time when the game freezes for a few seconds in game it isn't that bad, but during the mine cart level it happened really often and kinda destroyed the mood. The minor graphics glitches I have with the nvidia drivers don't bother me.

Yes, there are some minor quirks (and it is very campy, intentionally) but it is definitely an enjoyable game. The level design is quite good, and I'm glad there are no acrobatics required to solve puzzles :)

I just finished (14 hours) and I thought it was great fun. I played single player with a gamepad. I didn't experience any game-breaking bugs except for consistent crashing during the mine rollercoaster ride, which I solved by moving the game to an SSD. Apparently, the game engine was having trouble buffering from the drive to my card.

I think the game may be too casual for most players looking for a shooter where they can just kill things. However, there did seem to be quite a few mummies and dead things to shoot at so I'm not sure what the complaint is (about the game being "too easy").

The level design is excellent but the 3d models can be very stiff and awkward in their movements at times (comically bad at times). Sure the puzzles can be easy, but they can be very imaginative too and I appreciated that :)

I think it's worth playing through again, and I would recommend it (on sale of course).
