Glitch ?

Hi all. Just started and I am stuck. There are 3 platforms and a statue. If you stand on one of the platforms the statue moves forward. The female stands on one of them. I stand on one of them and it moves forward. When i go to the other platform the statue moves back. How do i keep both of the platforms down ?

The platform on the right side has a destructible coffin near it. Destroy it, and a corpse should drop on to the platform, so that when you stand on the one in the middle, the door behind the statue should unlock.
