What Comes After the Tutorial ?

I have finished the tutorial level and I have learned how to navigate my ship but I don't know what to do now. I tried going to other planets but I can't find anything to do on the named planets and I don't know how to find unnamed planets. What should I do now?

You gotta head to the B side. What you find in B side depends on the season you're in - if you're in a newer season you're more likely to find more unnamed planets. Unnamed planets have a "/" in them and look something like TY/568.

I read that but I just can't find any unnamed planets on my map at all. They are all named and I guess once a planet is named, there is nothing to do there, right?

Do you know what season you're in? Might be that you're just in a season which has been mostly discovered already. And yeah when a planet is named, there's not much to do there anymore - the white sphere will be whole and you can just walk up to it usually without having to do the prior steps.

How do I learn that? I just started playing the game today if that helps.

No worries, it should tell you the season you're in on the main menu, where you click continue.

It says Season 1. Does that mean something is wrong? How can I go to another season?

Ah wow, season 1 no wonder. That's weird too, because when you start a new game it should put you into the newest season. I'm in Season 42 right now and it shows 30%. To go to another season, just start a new game. After you hit new game, it'll say above it as "Mirromoon EP Season ##", it should say 42. Then just start up.

For future reference, if you want to change seasons manually upon starting a new game, just to go "new game settings". That gives you the option of playing online or a private game and you can go through all the available seasons and see each of their their completion percentages.

Thank you very much! It finally worked! I am now in the same saeson as you are and I started naming planets! Yay!

Is there anything else I should know ? I am currently just naming planets.

Well, you kinda make this game what you want it to be. Some people like trying to find the anomaly, or in trying to calculate the anomaly planet's position using observatory planets, others just like naming planets and meditating on the journey aspect. The game is very open ended in that regard. Personally, I always like to just roam around and see what interesting things I can find. Glad it's working for you now though!

I have been hearing about those Observatory planets or MAP planets I guess, they are the same right? What are they exactly and how do you find and make use of them? What is Anomaly planet? How do I know if I find one those?

I have so many questions, thanks for answering :)

It's no problem :D I've never found an anomaly planet yet, so I can't speak from experience but I hear they function similiar to how the tutorial planet works with the bridge and everything. So you'll probably know it pretty quickly if you do find one.

Observatory planets will have constellations in the sky and you just find them by chance going to different planets. There are tall towers which have an opening looking directly at a circled star in the sky. The circled star is where the anomaly planet is, but trying to triangulate its location using the ship starmap is difficult. There'll be multiple observatory planets, each showing the location from different angles. Sometimes people are very lucky and the anomaly planet is already named on an observatory planet, so then they know exactly what to look for on the ship starmap (but I think this is a very rare occurence).

I for one always wanted to figure out how to relate the given constellations in an observatory sky to the ship's star map, especially given the tool which can show flight path and certain planets (this seems to unlock itself after you find an observatory planet). I would also like to get more of an idea of what this boatswain is and the anomaly....but alas these mysteries still elude me lol.
