Why saving interface so unfriendly?
Why do you ask me if I want to load a game if I'm in a "SAVE GAME" menu? Why last auto-save loads something irrelevant to last auto save? It loads some save from 40 minutes ago although there WERE autosaves (more than one) since then. 1 hour of game play time lost thanks to this.

yah save interface is a bit strange. u have to go press it and type in a name to save it as and not select existing save since it then acts like load and u lose your work

Yeah I can't even comprehend the logic in the save/load interface. I learned it being wonky the hard way.
CLICKING A SAVE SLOT LOADS IT in a menu option called "Save" with a disk picture! Lost at least 16 hours of city building! I tried to save over it by clicking it and just clicked ok on the confirmation.
And now when i was fooling aroung with dialog to try to figure out how it works, I found that when you have clicked a save slot and canceled, then try to save a game by writing a name for it and pressing enter, it loads a game instead. Glad I started a brand new city to figure that out.
But even with these weird things and the "must restart game after a few hours building a large city" issue, this game is so much better than sc4.

I only use 1 save slot as city name and overwrite with no problem, have to wait a second then picture in save slot flashes with new picture as town stands now. Are you sure you are not pressing load icon which is right next to it?

I clicked on the center of the thumbnail image, not on the load icon. Tested it again and it loads the game, does not save.
But it's ok now that I know it does stupid ♥♥♥♥ like that.
