Error:Failed update patch

I think this is happening to anyone who used the WarpPortal fix, as it's happening to me as well. Running the actual RO2Client.exe will allow you to play, which is a hassle for most. I think people are looking into ways around this

I had the same issue and the following solved it for me :
Go to the game directory and open MD5FileList.txt
delet everything in it and save it.
now check read-only
klick ok
now it should patch when finished uncheck read-only again and it should still work now^^

I am also having this same issue. I have completely reinstalled the game to no avail. I even tried this but as soon as I uncheck read-only it goes back to the error and the game won't load if the file is read-only so now I am stuck and have no idea what else to try.

This is what worked for me.

First, I uninstalled my operating system and wiped it clean. Then I installed it again.

I haven't had the problem until today. Deleting the contents of MD5FileList did nothing except make the loading bar seem to take an extra second longer, giving me hope, and then I got the error again...

I told it to verify the cache (right click game in library > properties) and also re-deleted the things in that MD5File and now it seems to be updating properly. hope it works!

Tuve el mismo problema y la siguiente lo resolvió para mí:
Vaya al directorio del juego y MD5FileList.txt abierto
delet todo su contenido y guardarlo.
Ahora el registro de entrada sólo lectura
klick ok
ahora se debe parchar cuando termine, quite la marca de sólo lectura nuevo y todavía debería funcionar ahora ^ ^
