Ragnarok Online (1) about to be on Steam?
Early today when I was checking the store page on steam, I saw Ragnarok Online 1 in the new releases list. However, when I clicked on the link take me to the specific store page for RO1, then it just reloads the main Steam Store page. I tried restarting steam, but after that it was gone from the new releases. But, if you do a store page search for Ragnarok Online there is a trailer for RO1, although you still can't load/watch the trailer because when you click on it takes you to the main feature store page again.

I know this sometimes happens with new releases on Steam and it tkaes a few hours to fix the bugs or properly get a new title on steam, I am just hoping this will really happen, or maybe someone here has some information about it?

Yeah, when I saw it appear on the Steam store page, it did say "Euporean Version" or something like that, as the link you provided is also the Euporean Version of RO1. So, but does that mean it will just only be EU RO1 or will NA RO1 also be on Steam?

Not sure, can the US people play on the EU servers? If they can, it won't matter so much which version is on steam.

Well, maybe not. Steam often region locks games, so NA steam user might not be able to DL it even if it is free to play. Also even if it did work and NA steam user could get onto EU RO1, then there is the community issue as language barriers since not all EU players might not know English.

Good things will come to those who wait. :)

Well to be fair you can just play it without steam, there is no benefit to playing it through steam.

I've played RO for years, even back when it was monthly pay, but I would still love to see it on steam.
Also, I disagree with no benefit being on steam. There is plently. It will help grow the population. You can share screenshots with friends more easily (also might help the population). Keeps track of hours played, etc, etc. Also, if they make the RO1 cash shop work with Steam wallet, I might actually end up start using it.

I can't wait! >_<!

When RO1 comes on Steam, I will definitely start playing again as well as bring some friends on too. I really like a lot of the features in Steam and those alone would make me come back to RO1. And if you devs could somehow get Steam achievements up for Ragnarok Online, I would love you guys forever! I would also spend countless hours getting every single achievement since Ragnarok Online is without a doubt my favorite MMORPG of all time.

This is why you must love Steam, beats the second game full time :)

I'm playing RO1 on a private server, but 1000-1500 population just doesn't cut it for a game like that. Everybody is stacked, there are no newbies, you can't just go shopping for anything and everything because only the "great" items are for sale. pvp is a bit boring.
Great games like RO need a thriving community of thousands. And the more that play, the better the game is for everybody.

If RO1 comes to Steam, omg I would just die of happiness. Think of the community Steam could bring in!

In a way, it's awesome, but at the same time, it's gonna suck for me. Since I have an OOOOOLD iRO account from back when I played in Open Beta (before the pay to play.)
Recently, I started playing again and still can access my old account, but my old toons have been lost/wiped.
Other suck thing is that I'll have to create a new account for the Steam base, like I did with RO2. (Since I started playing that, but couldn't get the reg to work through Steam the first time.)
Commented before on the ROSE discussions on when is Requiem going to make it to Steam?

Good news. Ro1 has just been released on Steam. Enjoy!

I'm not seeing it yet...

Some issues occurred and it was taken down. Don't worry, it will be up soon!
