BRUTAL QUAKE!!!!!
If "Doom" can get the remake treatment with the super-awesome "Brutal Doom" mod, then games like "Rage" and "Quake" should get similar mods created for them.

I've always wanted to see a funny incident, where QuakeGuy comes across a Shambler, only for him to flip the middle finger and tell the Shambler "♥♥♥♥ yourself" while in the middle of fighting.

It is completely possible RC. But the fact, there is nobody will ever do such a thing. Quake of course has been fix up to a better engine. And running better on the newer pc's. But the fact that creating such a thing to the original game. Would take a lot longer then you think. If I remember correctly, this game is built off C++ (Correct me if I am wrong) But C++ is a very hard language to use. And coding on it. Is such task that could take days maybe months to get what you really want.

But besides that point. Yeah, Quake needs a brutal mod. One of these days somebody should check into the game. And create at least the middle finger part. And start from there.

well a guy named SgtMarkIV on YouTube is the person most directly responsible for creating the awesome Brutal Doom mod (for which IdSoftware themselves saw and loved), and would like to see his rendition of a similar one for "Quake"

From what I know right now the guy who worked on Brutal Doom is making Brutal Hexen at the moment.

I think Sergeant Mark iv should get off hexen it's not good as a game as Quake or Doom so he should start working on Brutal Quake

Hexen was developed by Raven Software and published by id Software. The game was pretty neat at the time and had more features then Doom.

C++ isn't any more difficult to use than any other programming language, it's the complexity of a codebase/engine itself and the modding tools available that dictates how hard modifications are. Learning the syntax/conventions of a language is easy, just like anyone can learn to use a pencil and paper but far fewer people can actually create a stunning work of art with those implements.

Quake is as brutal as it is. Just get Quad Damage and you're all set.

Yeah, there should be a mod because there is currently a Half-life version in development. I'D SAY THE CLASSIC NEEDS THE BRUTAL WAY!

Actually, Quake is made in a form of C; one Carmack made called 'QuakeC'.

From what i've seen, C is tons easier than C++, and if QuakeC is centralized around Quake, then it should just be down to making more gib models and rigging it via QuakeC.
