Maybe there was an issue with access rights to your user profile on the Laptop? The contents of the "project selector" in the welcome screen is stored in your local profile, so if articy:draft couldn't write there after the installation, they ARE in fact installed, but couldn't be added to the list of projects.
If you have them installed on your local hard drive, you can also open them "from file" instead of via the project selector.
But good to hear that you got it to work anyway on your PC!
All the best,
-Kai
Since this is a windows managed folder its real location differs depending on the windows version and the language.
But entering "%public%\Documents\Nevigo" in the address bar of the windows explorer should forward you directly to the right folder on any windows version.
On an Englisch version of Windows 7 & 8 it should be
Library -> Documents -> Public Documents -> Nevigo
