Arcade Joystick
Does La-Mulana work well with an arcade joystick controller? Thinking of buying the game if it does. Thank you for your help ^_^

The game was designed with a Xbox controller in mind. Arcade joystick should still work depending on the input (Xinput should work, don't know about DirectInput) but it may or may not play well with it, especially if it doesn't have enough buttons.

You need at least 6 buttons (Jump, Main Weapon, Secondary Weapon, Item, Laptop and Map)

Well considering it was on Wii long before PC, I'd say it was actually designed with Wii controllers in mind. Though it could be played with nunchuck or classic/Gamecube controller (and a keyboard for that matter), you could play it with just the remote sideways too, though you could only cycle through weapons in one direction. Anyway it wasn't designed with Xbox in mind, and in my opinion a d-pad works better than a joystick, but it would probably be really cool with your arcade set-up.

You're only partially right, it was on PC before it was on Wii before it was on PC.

But no I jest.

To the OP, I found this on the website

That should give you an idea of the various button layout and what to expect in terms of button mappings. Most likely the game will read the arcade stick as if it were a generic USB controller if it's DirectInput and a 360 controller if it's Xinput.
