Some things to keep in mind:
- Hold back on the ammo mods, you can increase your ammo efficiency by increasing damage per shot.
- This weapon doesn't innately ignore armor, so for it to still be effective at higher levels you'll want to max out your AP and damage mods.
- Fast hands isn't nearly as effective on a bow as speed trigger.
- Split chamber is extra free damage without the ammo cost - level it all the way up.
- This weapon has a REALLY high crit chance and damage - you want to capitalize on that.

I personally would suggest something like this:

Serration 135% (Goes on V polarity)
Split Chamber 90% (Goes on V polarity)
Piercing Hit 60%
Point Strike 150%
Vital Sense 120%
Speed Trigger 60%
Bane of Grineer/Corpus/Infested 30% (Depending on mission)

I know that getting all these mods leveled up will take some time, but it keeps the game from getting boring :). Ammo shouldn't be a problem with this build because you'll be killing everything in one shot. If you're too lazy to swap out the "bane of" mod for every mission (like me), then you can replace it with Hammer Shot or Arrow Mutation. Enjoy!

i guess ill get working on that then....with the arrival of the ammo conversion mods, i don't seem to need the ammo drum so i guess you're right there...I noticed you put only 7 mods, is that because there won't be any mod slots left for the 8th one?

Those 7 mods are all fully maxed (except serration), and will use exactly 59 mod points. You can forma it if you want to, but it already has polarity slots for the expensive mods. Adding one will allow you to get 4 extra mod points to play around with.
