Most offensive warframe with AOE?
Hey guys, I have a Loki warframe that I play as a stealth / melee hero and recently I got Trinity for the support role.

Now I only have 1 slow free and I want a warframe that has lots of Damage abilities for AOE and crowd control. What would you recommend?

I am thinking about Ember or perhaps Banshee. I algo got a Frost Prime chasis, but I think that relying in that is risky since I haven't got any void keys recently nor do I know where/how to get them again xD

You get void keys as defense mission rewards and as far as a good offensive warframe with CC Banshee is pretty good as her 1 ability is a knockback/stun and 4 is a pretty big AoE ult.

banshee and saryn are all about dmg and AoE dmg

I haven't played with all of the warframes yet, but I'd say Nyx is a really good choice. Only one of her skills causes decent damage (Absorb), but Mind Control and Chaos are extremely effective for crowd control.

I've been playing as Volt recently, and he's tons of fun (he really only shines when fighting corpus though, since they take extra electrical damage). With his Speed ability allowing him to zip around the map at incredible speeds, Electric Shield allowing you to form a barrier that stops enemy bullets but lets your pass through with extra damage, and Overload to cast a massive lightning storm to decimate groups, he's quite flexible and fun.

ember only does dmg.

get a banshee, first skill is good for croud control, 2nd skill sonar is good for bossing, 3rd skill is useless, 4th skill sound quake can hit up to 30M :D
After you get a heavily upgraded Volt overload will kill most enemies, aside from ancients and bosses it will still deal decent damage to elites. While shock is nowhere near the best damage dealer it does have a good stun chance and can deal with some lighter enemies. His other two abilities are utility powers the first being speed which greatly increases the frames sprint speed and allows for normally impossible parkor moves. The second utility power is basically portable cover that can be shot thru, though this will lower the damage it will change the shots to do electrical damage. One final note being that overload’s damage, duration and area of effect are affected by the number of electronics destroyed by the power.

I have seen a few youtube movies, and I concluded that:
- Ember deals damage a lot of fire, but she is a "in your face warframe" that has no defensive abilities and is fragile.
- Banshee 1st skill deals no damage at all, but the ultimate is decent for large groups of enemies, at least early game. It does lack utility later on, just likeEmber.
- Saryn is just ... well, I have the opinion she is quite bad ... xD
- Nyx trully is a power crowd controller. But I assume she is going to be nerfed soon (Chaos ability is too strong?)
- Volt does seem a good idea. Has a lot of utility and an "OK" AOE, but it doesn't work as good against infested and grinner.

Banshee's ultimate staggers all enemies with each pulse, so utililty is still there, even as the damage portion starts to become less noticable as enemy health increases. Also, sonar is very useful when you need your teammates to do more damage. It puts a large "shoot here" orange circle on the enemy, which makes them take 4X more damage when you shoot there, and apparently that multiplier goes even higher with a focus mod.

Chaos has actually already been nerfed to around 20 second duration, but it's still very useful. Having an army of enemies beat the tar out of each other for 20 seconds gives you plenty of time to pick off survivors.

I did an infested defense earlier with a Saryn teammate and every time she cast Miasma, the whole area would just turn to goo, except for Ancients around wave 20+. I don't know the exact damage it does, but it's quite powerful.

If you like corpus defense, nothing will beat a Volt in mass destruction. His electric shield ability can really help in boss fights, or you can drop it as quick cover while you revive a teammate (my personal favorite use for it).

I didn't know that about banshee. I guess she can be useful after all.

Is she any good in later levels, or is chaos her only decent ability? Are the mobs strong enough to kill each other in later levels while we watch and eat popcorns? xD

Saryn only has 1 decent ability, which is the one you named. That said, I would like a warframe with more than just one ability xD

Volts shield is nice and he is overall a strong hero, I am actually considering him.

Few final questions, what about Frost and Mag? Frost is tanky (compared to rhino) but I am nor sure his abilities fair well. Mag seem to have a hell of an ultimate as well though. What are your thoughts?
Excalibur hasn't been emntioned yet, and his ult deals decent damage. Only limitations include the ult hitting only a limited amount of enemies. Not to mention his slash dash can hurt infested bad and he has a cheap CC skill.

Mag's ult can span great distances when leveled, but Grineer reduce the damage sufficiently that they may survive at even levels 20+ or so.

Volt's Ult is great when upgraded, but be wary that some enemies DO resist electricity.

Ember is not soft, people just don't use her Overheat skill enough. She's a tank in a pinch, and her World on Fire actually has more range than those videos show off especially with the stretch mods.

Banshee. Clear Whole defense waves. nuff said.

Saryn. Kill anything short of an elite. CC with her molt skill. Contagion+Fang+full fury=damn.

Since you want full damage AoE, I would suggest Saryn if you are patient, Ember if you can learn to press 2 for overheat, or Excalibur since your ult isn't an elemental and isn't reduced by non-bosses. (I think higher tier bosses like Hek and Kela reduce damage taken by 50%, tested with pure damage Furax and Ash's Shuriken)

I think all all grineer bosses (with the exception of Vor) do that... Sargus Ruk only takes a little over 280 damage from my shuriken while normal enemies take 575 (I have an unmaxed focus)

Nyx's Chaos is always useful. Since enemy's health and damage increase as their level increases, Chaos never really starts overpowered or becomes underpowered like other abilities. The ultimates that hit for 1k decimate low level enemies, but become much less noticeable when their health starts climbing over 5k per mob. With Chaos, enemies tear each other up as pretty much the same speed no matter what, never being insta-killed early, but being more than tickled at later levels.

I forgot to mention Banshee's Sonic Boom too. Blasting enemies back like 20 yards for just 25 power can really help keep those ancients off your friends or the objective.

And nobody can deny the near-required use of Snow Globe on Corpus and Grineer defense.

Mag's ultimate has range, but it only hits for 1k, so like I mentioned before, it becomes less noticeable later on when enemies just shrug it off.

I get that Mag and Escalibur can be good too, i just want somethign different.

To be honest, you people keep mentioning Saryn, and I dont get why, specially when other warframes such as excalibur or even Mag are clearyl better.

As for Ember, sure you can make her tanky, but if you do that then you dont have the mana pool necessary to use her abilitites. Doesn't make much sense to me, specially when she needs them.

Unless you can provide me with a link or guide that actually proves Saryn and Ember can be something decent, I will discard them rigth away.

I am considering Frost (tanky play style), Nyx (not sure what type of play style xD ) and Volt (sniper play style and support).

Thanks for all the feedback!
