Grakata
I see many people in the forums saying it is a very powerful weapon, if it is how can I make it so because i have been playing with a newly build grakata and i had to use an ammo box at M Prime because enemies took too much bullets. I know a weapon is stronger at higher lvls but how can I make this weapon better?

Work on maxing out Serration, Piecing hit, and Split Chamber Mods. Fire in short bursts. Its not a bad weapon, but it will always have problems with ammo consumption. Compliment with an ammo efficient sidearm - Bolto, Kraken, Bronco, Lato, Lex, and Kunai, are all pretty ammo efficient, as are their dual handed counterparts.

Okay I will try it thanks!

I wouldn't bother with Lex because it's worse than the normal pistol. It says it does high damage but barely pulls over 20 damage normally on enemies. Then Paris comes with 45 damage and goes up to 150 or more.

The Grakata has a higher than normal critical hit chance, so increasing that chance and crit damage will also help. Definitely fire in short bursts like Cedekane said. It fires fast enough that you can treat it like a semi-automatic rifle and still get off several rounds per mouse click. If you're going for head/weak spots, you'll do just fine. This is a no-brainer, but obviously because of its high rate of fire, you're going to want to get working on ammo drum and magazine warp as well....and fast hands since you're going to be reloading a lot. As far as rifles go, I enjoyed leveling that one quite a bit.

I take it you've been shooting Grineer and Ancients in the body? The Lex has 70 base damage, so that means if you're hitting on any spot that takes 100% normal damage, you will in fact do 70 damage. Modded with fully leveled barrel diffusion and hornet strike, you'll bring that number up to 154x2 at the least.

The Lato has 24 base damage, so with the same mods that's 53x2.
Meaning the Lex does about 3x damage of the starter pistol at higher levels. It has a much lower fire rate though.

Neither of these weapons will be doing this much damage to most Grinner, Infested derivatives of Grineer, and Ancients because these enemies are "armored" and take less damage from normal arms fire. Lancers, for example, take 33% damage from normal fire, so 33% of 70 is 23 ("barely over 20"), and 33% of 24 is 8.

The Paris doesn't suffer from this issue since it has innate armor ignore along with the Bolto/Akbolto, Boltor, and the Kunai.

Funny enough, I just finished the Grakata section for my weapons review guide here on steam. Qualities of this weapon is that, if the wiki were to be accurate on this one, is that it has the highest maximum crit chance and damage in the game. with full point strike, a 50% crit chance is amazing. That being said, this weapon heavily relies on scoring crits, which cannot be done on shields so take note of that.
The weapon also boasts an impressive fire rate. Maybe too impressive, since holding down the trigger would result in a swift kick of your reticle up to a maximum, followed by a left-right movement of your reticle due to recoil.
It is highly suggested that this weapon be fired in bursts in rapid succession to conserve ammo. Holding down the trigger is viable, but make sure the enemy is not too distant and you don't aim at the head at the start so your reticle would eventually end up at the enemy head.
Finally, the weapon has an above-standard max ammo capacity of 675 I think, but you start the mission with 540(without any mods).

After a bit of struggle I managed to level my Grakata to lvl 7, I have a small serration at the moment to assist and if I reach a high enough lvl I will try to get crit mods on it. Thanks for the help btw :)

Headshots on those Greneir are a hit and miss for me. I aim for them but it doesn't seems to connect at all. Not sure if the gun gets inaccurate or not. Also I'm not bad at aiming. Been called aimbotter in Counter Strike Source a few times due to me dominating the enemy team.

Lag issues might be the part of it because I don't always get good hosts.

I've given it several tries but it just doesn't cut it for me. Doesn't matter who I use it against. Never seems to get normal damage on enemies and it's fire rate is just way to slow. I don't have the two cards you mention but in the start you should not focus on the weapon in the start.

Your main pistol will deal more damage quicker. I might give it a try again when I get those two cards though.
