Need something clarified.
I'm a veteran that used to be crazy, passionate about Warframe.
This armor 2.0 is new to me as it is new to all of us.

Now Warframe isn't on my first to play list anymore, I do play it more often now that U11 just came out, the event and what not. But the passion of knowing what's there in new updates no longer exists.

The armor 2.0, I got the gist of it, but that's about it. I understood Impact for Shield, Penetrate for Armor, Slash for Health. I modded my arsenal accordingly, and that's it. But I can't help, but something do nag at me.

Proc chance, Elemental. Correct me if I'm wrong, I do need some serious clarification.
Now I'm glad that critical chance and damage got nothing to do with Proc/status Chance.
What I'm curious about, is elemental damage with proc chance.

Now let's say I have a fire mod installed on my primary. Stats shows I have xxx amount of Fire damage. But does that mean, that xxx amount of damage will only occur when I hit that slight Proc/Status chance my weapon has?

Or

Does that mean the xxx amount of fire damage, still applied to my primary. But the fire effects will only occur when the proc/status chance hits?

This. These same procs are actually on your 3 base stats as well (impact knocks targets down, puncture reduces enemy damage, slash causes a bleed). Imagine if your gun only dealt damage 5% or 10% of the time!

Basically, if you have 50% fire damage on a weapon that deals 100 total base damage, and a 10% Status rating, then you'll deal 150 total damage every shot, and set the target on fire 10% of the time for an extra fire DoT.

Slightly *off topic but multi-bullets from mod also has status chance? if yes. all weapons has decent chance to statue.
although statue effect is most likely useless.(blast seems doesn't blast. and other statue only affect target which is very low hp or already dead..)

Thank you for all the quick replies and indepth answers.

Now I can feel safe to spend a slot and points to put an elemental in, instead of feeling a complete waste without tagging a status card along.

Indeed, every single bullets has it's own chances and procs, even those from multishot. On the "Status chance" part, Blast does blast, and knocks enemies down, but it's according to the weapons proc chance as are all other "status" procs.
